Remarks

Yes the university is really strict in terms of attendance. They allow to give examination only if the attendance is above 75% Even for 74.9% -70% we have an option for B+ category that is also available for few subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum is definitely hectic for the ones coming from a university with 3-4 subjects per semester. Because here in AMITY we have around 6-7 core subjects along with the value added courses i.e. communication skills, behavioral Sciences and any foreign business language. Each subject has 4-6 modules depending upon the credits they carry.

Internships Opportunities

Depending upon the course we opt for. Most likely we need to get the internships initially ourselves. In case if we aren't able to arrange them then our faculties help us in providing some. Experience in internships depend upon where we join. Stipends are usually not provided. In AMITY there's a course called Non Teaching Credit Course (NTCC) under which we need to do the internships.

Placement Experience

3.5

Again it widely ranges from Course to course. For example in the course I am in provides 40-50% placements whereas in Btech and MBA cells it upto 90% so greatly varies. Depending upon the course we opt for.

College Events

5

We have a huge variety of events celebrated every month. From inbush summit era , Amity youth festival are the main.Apart from it there are certain events held during festivals like diwali mela, pongal , national days. Each department conducts several events time to time

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is quite expensive. But try to get yourselves enrolled in some scholarship stuff. As there are many scholarships available. For my course the fees is 58000 per semester.Infact in some Courses fee ranges from 30000 to 2Lac per semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

For graduates there is scholarship for students scoring 90% and above in class 12 boards(CBSE) For 90-93% they give 50% For 93% and above they give 100% For the post graduates 93% and above in class 12 boards + 80% and above in graduation :- 100% scholarship 90% and above in class 12 boards + 80% and above in graduation:- 50% scholarship. Rest many non academic scholarship are also available.

Campus Life

5

They have a huge variety of sports available that includes swimming , horse riding , archery , shooting everything. We have an inter Amity sports event called Sangathan. We get a great experience from the over 100+ clubs and societies in AMITY.There are many working labs with good equipments in every course.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

They are just too good. We have AC and non AC hostels within the campus. They provide every facility within the campus. The mess is available as an option. It depends upon the students whether they want to go for it or not. Hostel system is really strict here.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, there is an online portal that connects Amity from their alumni. From there we get to know where they are working and appointed.Which is very helpful for the college and for the students to get in touch with the University.

Exam Structure

There is semester wise exam structure. Each semester we have exams that lasts for a month including all practicals and theories. We have a grading system for evaluation. For odd semester exams are held in nov-dec For even semester exams are held in apr-may.

Admission

As mentioned earlier I was graduated in Bachelor's of Forensic Sciences from AMITY NOIDA then i wanted to pursue CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY for my PhD topic. I gave an entrance test which included SUBJECTIVE and ENGLISH TEST. Then there was an interview round where the department faculty interacts. Then within a week the results are uploaded on the site.

Faculty

4

College faculty ranges from PhD scholars to the one who are doing their PhD.The campus is faculty friendly. We'll find that all the faculties are co-operative and understanding. We do get some strict stuffs but that is all required for maintaining the discipline factor as well. They have an amazing teaching experience and knowledge. Overall it's 3.5/5

Placement Experience:

The placement here at Sharda was too good. Students start attending the Placement interviews and calls from the last semester. I was personally made into 4 companies and 4 offer letters were offered to me. The average package is 3.8 lakhs per annum and highest was about 11 lakhs. There is 100% placement in every dept. but it depends on students if they want to attend or not. After getting the degree i studied for my PhD entrace and now i am working.

The only specific aspect of choosing this curriculum is I wanna go in a teaching position . I'm doing masters in sociology and it's really help me to prepare well for my future job. In my college the teaching methods is quie good for me and in my perspective the frequency and difficulty levels of exam is not excessive.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since I wanted to become an English Professor, the course really helped me a lot in getting an insight into English Literature. The professors are very encouraging. The curriculum not only relies on the traditional method of teaching but also various co curricular activities are conducted to prepare the students for the real world. Each student is given an opportunity to prove herself. As the exams are conducted annually we get a lot of time to prepare accordingly.

Overall, I can say that my experience of the college for postgraduate degree is good as of now. Although the course is good, but, I would want more focus to be put on practical learning because after all, it is a practical subject. Other than that, I am content with the facilities provided by the college. I was very interested in the subject and love it personally, so it is a great experience for me.
