GNDEC College Review

Allover I would rank my college 7/10. Well not everything is perfect and fall easily on your lap. If you want a college 10/10 then yours marks should be according to that. Even the college lack behind in few of the things that they need to work on. Anyway if you are one of the gencoins then enjoy the best and avoid the rest.

Curriculum is okay. Personally I am not happy with the curriculum because it has lot of things in theories while we need much of practical knowledge to succeed. But that's I guess a problem in our education system and so everyone is following it. But remember you have to work on your practical knowledge on your own.

Yes our college do provide internship in GNDEC STEP. I have not done any internship in our college but through sources what I have heard is that our college internship is not very good and they don't even pay for it.

Placement as per the college level is very good. There is a special department called T&P cell which handles all the stuff regarding placements. In our college companies like TCS , Infosys , Accenture , IBM , capgemini , cognizant , reliance JIO are the yearly visitors and had huge no of placements.

There are total 5 societies in our college. The convenier of all those societies handles all the events and managed it. Any of the student can participate and there are excisting prizes for the winners.

The fee structure is feasible. Even if you can't afford it then you can write the application along with which you need to attach income tax return of gaurdians or there is special Sikh quota while admission.

I don't know much about this. But I don't think our college provide any scholarship and while my graduation I have even heard any such case. But you can always reach to your head of department for any queries or if you want to get any scholarship.

If we talk about Extracurricular activities then there are total a different place called sports complex where you can have lot of fun , all the practice of events , cultural fest , tournaments , inter college competition happens over their. Labs are also very good. There are technicians always present for any help if you want.

Hostel infrastructure is quite poor. well I have never been to boy's hostel but girl's hostel is not very good. Except final year students , the other students share room. There are 3 students in one small room and in summers the place becomes really difficult to live in. And if we come to mess the food is not so tasty and not so bad. And in compared to all these things they charge a very high fee for hostel facilities according to me.

Oh the seniors have always been amazing. We were even afraid of ragging in our fresher year but there is no ragging it is strictly prohibited. Our Seniors even arranged fresher's for us. Students feel very responsible for giving farewell and fresher's on their own.

Like all other colleges in India we do have pen paper examination. Final Exams happens in Nov-dec for odd semesters and may-june for even semesters. First there are theoretical exams which happens in the leap of 2-3 holidays and then after some days practical exams happens without any holiday.

First , you will give na entrance exam JEE after 12th to get admit in any of engineering college and based on the rank of JEE there are two ways to get admission in one. First is through online counselling which happens on the college website. you will get the link for new admission through online counselling on the website "www.gndec.ac.in" and the other way is to get admission through direct counselling which happens in the college auditorium (take all documents and fee with you). If you have good rank (upto 3.5 lakh) you will get admission but in your choice of stream or not that will totally depends on your rank.

Faculty is very nice. Some of them are very kind and generous. Most of the senior teacher's are really talented and junior teachers will help you out of the way possible. Generally junior teachers are very friendly but in this college there is no cliche it very much depends on the personality.
