My college review

I choose economics because of my liking about knowledge it provides.This course mainly focuses on the theoretical fundamentals of economics but it also provides some aspects of real life implementations by providing workshops and internships. It should focus more on the real life implementation. And also provide the basic knowledge about the job scenario which we have to face later in our career by providing more workshops. industrial meets and good internships . Each semester is about 6/7 months long. And the 1 St internal exam will be after 2 month of the semester starts and 2 nd semester exam will be 2 months after the first and the final lab and external exam will be at the end of the semester.The difficulty level of these exams is moderate.

Few big farm like Elixir , TK Sharma etc. offers internships to the top students of our college. The stipend is also decent. The avarage amount is 20000 per month . There are many projects during the course we need to complete and showcase the outcome of this projects for the evaluation of merit.

My college offers very minimal placement for the branches of the chemistry and geogy. Few Chemical manufacturing companies of haldia visit our college for placement. The avarage package for placed students is around 240000 per annum. Very few students get placed via campus placement. College should focus on this area as early as possible. So as I come from the economics department I have access to the internships form my college. I want to do a good internships after my graduation.

As it is a govt college the course fees are very minimum.The semester fee is about 1300per semester which includes registration fee,lab fee etc.My college also provide a scholarship named as swami vivekanand scholarship on the basis of merit.Cutoff for the scholarship is 75%in your respective academic.

There are few annual and cultural festival in my college. Like a freshers party, farewell party and a college fest. There are several books on different subjects available in the library. There are many social groups for dancing, singing, debate and drama in my college. The classrooms are equipped with wifi facilities and labs are equipped with modern technology.

I have also applied for pravat kumar college and sahid matangini govt. College. But I chose this college because of the availability of transportation reputation. The admission process is typically like other govt college. After the 12 th one needs to submit an application for the admission then the college releases a merit list based on our marks in the 12 th board exams. And according to the merit list you get selected for admission. Then you need to physically appear with your valid documents for the admission.

The faculty and students ratio is decent.It is about 1to 10. The faculties are good and caring towards the students. Goutam Bhoumik sir and M.Paul ma'am is my favourite.As they provide guidance regarding my academic and as well as my personal issues. There are some faculties which I don't like for their attitude towards the students. The course consists of 8 semester and each semester has 2 internal exams ,1 final external exam and final lab exams. The difficulty of these exams is moderate.

There is a gym,a canteen and a librar and an open air theater in our college. There is a hostel in our college. But as I am not staying in the hostel. I don't have any experience over that .but it is decent. The famous places outside of my college are city centre and the township area. We often hangout there. The locality is decent and safe to roam around.
