Course Curriculum Overview
I choose economics because my liking about the knowledge it provides. Economics provides the basic knowledge about the job scenario which we have to face later in our career by providing more workshops.industrial meets and good internships.each semester is about 7 month long. 1 internal willne after 2/3 month and 2 nd internal exams will be 2/3 months after the first and the final lab exams and the external exam will be at the end of the semester.
Internships Opportunities
Few big farm like Elixir , TK Sharma offer internship to the top students of our college.the stipend is also provide. The avarage package is 10000 per month .there are many projects during the course we need to complete and showcase the outcome of theses projects for the evaluation of merit.
Placement Experience
My college offers very minimal placement for the branches of chemistry. Few Chemical manufacturing companies of haldia visits our college for placement. The avarage package for placed students is around 240000 per year.so as l come from the economics department I have access to the internships form college.
Fees and Financial Aid
The semester fees is about 1300 per semester which includes registration fee,lab fees etc.My college also provide two scholarship named swami vivekanand scholarship and oasis scholarship on basis of Merit.
Campus Life
There are few annual and cultural festival in my college. Like a freshers party, farewell party and the a college fest. There are several books on different subjects available in the library. There are many social groups for dancing, singing and debate in my college. The classrooms are equipped with WiFi facilities.
Admission
I have applied for pravat kumar college and mahisadal raj college. But I choose this college because of the availability of transportation. The admission process is typically like other govt college. After the 12 th one needs to submit an application for the admission then the college releases a merit list based on our marks in the 12th board exam . And according to the merit list you get selected for admission. Then you need to physically appear with your valid documents for the admission.
Faculty
The faculty and students ratio is decent. It is about 1 to 8 . Dr.gautam bhowmik and manuela pal ma'am is my favourite one. As they provide guidance regarding my academic and personal issues. There are some faculties which I don't like for their attitude towards the students.the course consists of 6 semester and each semester has 2 internal exams, 1 final external exam and final lab exams.
Night Life
There is a gym ,a canteen,a Library in our college. There is a hostel in our college. But as I am not staying in the hostel I don't have any experience over that. The famous places outside the college are the city centre mall , cinema hall and the township area. We often hangout there. The locality is decent and safe to roam around.
