My College Experience

I think the curriculum is old and outdated and need to be updated . I prepares me pretty well but not that much. The curriculum related to machines should be updated. The examination are difficult for me. The examinations should be held every 6 months but the university is not good it is really bad , examination are held every 4 months , and some times they even postpone the for more than a month.

Year-wise fees that I paid is 23500. Development fees is 5000 rupees. Tuition fees is rupees 15000 rupees. Other fees (gymkhana,lab fees) is 3500 rupees. Examination fees is 2000 rupees. Some of my batchmate pay fee of rupees 16000. Various scholarships like Punjabrao Deshmukh scholarships are available.

My college had few festivals named Raaga which was annual gathering and freshers fiesta which was fresher party of electrical engineering students. Decent library and relevant books are available. The college recently inaugurated a new building which has good desks and smart board for teaching. Every year sports activities occurs around the month of March or April and sport competition are held with other colleges in the university. No student portals of college which includes impact on student life.

My main choice was computer related field. I applied for bhartiya vidyapeeth , AC patil and various colleges and i got rejected. I did not have any other option than this college that is the reason I chose this college. I got rejection from colleges that I applied for computer engineering because of less percentage. MHT-CET Cap round admission is available and spot round is also available. Cutoffs of my college is very low, admission takes time as it is crowded.

Majority of the faculties are permanent while few teachers are on contract. Few teachers are really helpful especially the teacher who teaches embedded system. I don't like the teacher who teaches power electronics because he teaches very slow and he is strict. Five course are in my college Artificial intelligence and data science engineering Electrical engineering Food technology engineering Mechatronics engineering Civil and infrastructure engineering Written exam is of 60 marks and 40 marks are internals and practicals which combine for total of 100 marks each subject. Total number of subjects vary according the the semester some have 4,5 or even 6 subject in a semester. In my branch around 40 percent (approximately) student fail per subject. I think the courses curriculum should be renewed because it is still stuck on old and outdated machines that are not even used now. Instead syllabus should contain topics related to new technology and machines.

Gym is not available but they have installed few excercise equipment near college. No cafeteria available. Library available with decent and relevant books. College closes at around 5 pm. No college hostel available. We can hangout with friends outside the college near snack shops and there is a palace nearby. Safe locality to roam around at night.
