Think merit think sastra????

Curriculum is so wide but selected. The curriculum prepares us for real world applications.the areas for improvements in the course curriculum cannot be said as I'm a fresher.timings for cia's is 1.5 hrs and sem exams are 3 hrs

Not just the college opportunities for internships but the students are the people who usually search for internships outside the college. But companies like tcs, zoho offer paid internships. Startup ideas are most welcome at our university and they really support them.

From 5th or 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Often visited companies are tcs, wipro, zoho etc. Highest package is around 35-40LPA and average is 10LPA. Almost 88-90% of students get places every year.

First year total tution fee is Rs 170000 85k per sem. Many scholarships are available internally after 1st year every year the sem fee gets increased by 5%.Tution fee is same for all courses no particular no particular amount for selected course. Seat is allotted totally based on merit and no recommendation from higher authorities are accepted. There is a seperate quota for tamilnadu and seperate quota for Thanjavur and Trichy and seperate quota for NRI

Overall campus life is very good. There are hell lot of technical festivals like daksh. There is wide range of books and journals available in the library. Classrooms are non AC but well ventilated. With respect to sports there is nothing short.. the accessibilities are huge. Students are mostly taking care of the applications required for the university. Most of the apps developed for university are by the students of DCS (Developer community of sastra).

Rooms are non AC but well ventilated. In Outside hostel of the college (vinaya hostel), 3 in 1, 2 in 1, and individual rooms are available. There are three hostel buildings( block 1, 2 and 3). Hostel fee is affordable as the shares rooms are just 16k per year and individual rooms are just 25k per year which is really affordable.

I applied for most of the colleges in Chennai. I didn't get any rejection for any other colleges but chose sastra as the fee is affordable in both cases college as well as hostel. Admission process is completely online and well processes.

Almost all faculties are PHD holders and doctorates. They teach well with good study materials and pyq's. Not specifically good faculties.. almost most of them are good teaching faculties. Regarding the exams, 3 CIA's and a semester exam is conducted for a sem. And the standard of the paper.. easy or tough or moderate depends on the paper setter but moderate often. Regarding the curriculum, they have well updated curriculum and mainly helps in interviews..

During night time no one is allowed inside the campus.. But the inside hostellers are allowed to be in campus till 830pm. College timings 8:45 to 5:15 (maximum). Hangout places are mostly canteens.. All four corners there are canteens. Locality is not safe to roam at nights as the university is situated in a highway road.
