If you want to study sincerely and expect some above average Salary package companies of 2.5 LPA to 4.5 LPA , then you are good to go with Lingayas, since the fees they charge is also not that much as compared to other Provate engg colleges
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is entirely based on Maharshi dyanand university, but the best part is: the result is according to the answers you write in the exam , it's not like you attempt an exam of 95 Mark's and get 12 Mark's , professors check these exams sheets:
Internships Opportunities
Yes, they do assist you with internship opportunities. I got a 7500 Rs. Internship from my college placement. I worked there for 3 months then changed but it was a good experience for me as a beginner.
Placement Experience
For computer science engg; its okay: companies like Infosys, TCS come for college placement. A company INC of gurgaon also recruited 2 candidates. Apart fro that they also collaborate with nearby colleges to give a mass recruitment to the companies.
College Events
1st year : Freshers party, I also participated in the freshers party and played guitar: which the crowd really loved. From 2nd year onwards: Zest was celebrated and celebrities like Daler mehendi, Urvashi, Rabish Mathews came in. And yeah Sgakti Kapoor also came in.
Fee Structure And Facilities
1.3 LPA : 65 K per semester: that give good time to a candidate to pay the fees, around 15 days exceeding the last date and still no extra charge/fine. It's totally worth it, because the other colleges in the nearby region has a fee of more than 1.7 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
I didn't avail any scholarship or loan facility, but yeah there was a girl in class who got above 90% in 12th and also got good Mark's in their Merit entrance test: so she got 30 % scholarship or discount on the college fees.
Campus Life
Labs are the best part in Lingayas, they are well equipped with the latest and good technology. They are having almost all the machinery that are required for any department. Also, computer science labs are having A/Cs.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel infrastructure and facilities are quite okay: it's s not very good but its ok: I mean the hostels are well secured by Security guards; noyone can enter without the ID card, good drinking water but wi fi is available only for half day.
Alumni/Alumna
Some seniors are really helpfull and were really knowledgeable about their subject as I approached them some algorithms in Computer science. For strengthening the Alumni network they throw a part each year to connect with the Alumni.
Exam Structure
40 Mark's is internal that is based on the assignments and class quiz and mid semester. In the mid semester : it is 40 Mark's and its heritage is 10 Mark's. 60marks are based on the final semester. Out of 60, 10 Mark's is from MCQ, rest are from the subjective type.
Admission
Based on the 12th percentage and they also have a merit based test which I didn't give as took a admission a bit late. But, if someone having above CBSE 65% and above will easily get admission here. Apart from this if someone has scored above average in their entrance exam-they will also give you scholarship
Faculty
The computer science engg and Mechanical faculty is good. 2 or 3 staff is really knowledgeable and also the discipline in the department is good. I mean if you have to submit your assignment on 30 March then the date can't be extended
