Genuine Review

I have much interest in mathematics that is why I have opted for this course of mathematics and computing. The course curriculum is good enough for the real world applications as it covers a lot of theory and practical knowledge. I would suggest to replace some professors because they do not know how to teach . The difficulty level of the exams is good enough so that the students studying hard will score good marks and one who will ignore studies will be failed

There are a lot of companies which give internship like Google with stipend range in between 1-1.5 lakh per month, Microsoft with same amount, Zepto, Meesho, Adobe, Goldman sachs, British petroleuem (1 lakh per month) , and many more which can be seem from online data. I have not done any internship so I can not tell about the task and outcomes.

Here companies start giving internship offers to the third year starting students that is 5th semester students and for Integrated course it is 4th year starting students that is 7th semester students. For placements , companies come in final year of student or can say in 7th semester of students and here also for integrated course it is 9th semester. There are a various companies that come in our campus some of them are Google , Microsoft , Adobe, Nvidia, Texas instruments, Zepto, Goldman Sachs ,Phonepay, Paytm, Meesho , etc and their number of offers varies in between 5-25 or 5-30 sometimes. Lowest package is about 7-8 lakh per annum while highest is 80 lakh per annum. 60-62 Percentage of students got placed in on campus placement and rest are placed in off campus.

As My Family income is less than 1 lakh per annum hence my tution fee is nil so I have to pay only the hostel and mess fee which is around 36000 for monsoon semester and 26000 for winter semester. I have paid 40000 at the time of jossa counselling from which 5000 was jossa processing fee and rest was settled into college fee. For students whose family annual income is more than 6 lakh is -> tution fee is 2 lakh per annum and 36000+26000 mess and hostel fee (for both sem total). College admission fee is 18000 that is one time only. If family income is more than 1 lakh and less than 6 lakh then tution fee is 33000 and 36000+26000 for mess and hostel charge. For sc and st students there is no tution fee as well as there is no hostel and mess fee. Also our college is having one program in which if you score well in your academic and have a good cgpa with a certain limit of annual fee then colllege will give you mcm means merit cum scholarship in which all more tution fee will be relaxed and you will be provided with 10000 as scholarship annualy.

Srijan is the annual cultural fest of IIT ISM dhanbad and concetto is the annual technical fest . Srijan is generally held in last of january and starting of february and is celebrated for 3 days while concetto is held in october and it is also celebrated for 3 days . There are a lot of books available in the library including journals and course books and library is opened for 9 am to 9 pm from monday to friday. Every classroom is equipped with smart tv and projector . There is also mikes for professors . There are good facilities of sport complex for both outdoor and indoor sport complex. There are badminton courts , swimming pool, cricket ground, hockey and football ground , lawn table tennis court and many more. Also there are a lot of clubs and their separate club room like photography club(FotoFreaks), dance club (WTC and LITM) , quiz club, literature club, chess club, book club, drama club etc.

My hostel is Aquamarine . It provides double accomodation rooms . Each room is having two beds , two bug almirah, two windows, 1 door, two table , two chairs , two tubelights, two bulbholders, two lan holder, two electric boards.Mess menu is not so good and not so bad . Meal quality is sometime good and sometime they mess up . Registration for hostel is done at time of admission only and it is very affordable. Here every student have to opt for hostel so he can not live outside the campus .

I have applied for many colleges like IIT Bombay, Delhi, Madras, Hyderabad,Indore but at my rank I got this college also I was having a choice of good branch otherwise I would have got top IITs. This college is having a good medina package in mathematics and computing branch and that is around 30 lakh per annum. Everyone knows the admission process in any IIT and here it is same only. I face no difficulty in admission process , it is very simple.

Faculty to students ratio is different in different branches . Like for electrical engineering batch there are about 140 students so there is only one prof for one subject to all of them while some batches like applied geology there are only 20-25 students so one prof for one subject to all of them. Garib Nath Singh , a prof of MnC department is the ideal one. Badam Singh Sir from mnc department , Prashant sir from physics department are the good faculties. I can not take the name of prof whom I do not like but there are many such prof. There are two semester in a year , monsoon semester and winter semester and there are two exams for each semester mid term and end term and 1 quiz before starting of each terms exams.

There is only one way to enter in any iits , first you have to qualify jee mains and thne you have to qualify jee advanced. Every year the cutoffs changes . There is no GD or any type of interview during the process.

Gym is there in the campus and it is large in size and it opens at 5 am in morning till 10 pm in night. There are a lot of cafeterias and restaurants along with general store which opens for 9 am to 2 am mostly , some of them got closed by 10 pm also. But there are vending machines which operates 24*7. Hostel in time is 1 Am while campus in time is 10 pm. Famous hangout place is RD tea shop, barista restaurants which are inside campus while outside there are many places where students preferred to go like parasnath, topchanchi, maithan dam , etc.Yes it is safe to roam in night inside the campus.
