Course Curriculum Overview

4

The courses are modified every year to cope with the ever changing industry and marketplace. There are different new subjects coming up with the view to teach practical knowledge to the students who will have to do the same in the workplace

Fees and Financial Aid

Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma college ( University of Delhi) offers various UG and PG courses. I'm pursuing B.Com Hons from this college, the college charged College fees annually which was 15715 P.A in the first year and for the second year it was 16815 and in the final year it has gone up to 18615. This college fees include tution fees, student welfare fees, guest fees, accommodation and other facilities charges. My batchmate who is from PWD category pays just 500 as college fees and rest all fess are waived off by the college. There are different categories through which the college takes admission and all the category has different fees structure, my ST category friend pays just 8000 as college fees. ARSD College also offers different scholarships for financially unstable students and takes care of their expenses too in some cases. After assessing the students and their background, college admin office passes list of students who are eligible for the different scholarships and list comes out so lengthy to be honest. ARSD COLLEGE is NIRF Ranking 5 college and has the best NAAC accreditation in whole NCR. It has good infra and management. Campus Life feels good and has ample opportunities for everyone in different fields.

Campus Life

The annual fest "Tide" is generally held in the month of March. The library here is full of articles and books covering all the subjects. Every classes is equipped with ample technology to make the learning more easy. The college have a great reputation in the field of sports and games, be it cricket, football, basketball or any game. There is a lot of society and groups who organise many Events to interact with the local community as well as help them with basic needs..

Admission

I had applied for different colleges in DU itself but after getting ARSD I froze just because I wanted to study Honours courses and the ranking of the college was good at the time of admission to the college

Faculty

My classroom has less student ratio as compared to different other sections of my same course in the college and which leads to less opportunities for character development which can be helpful in the corporate life

Interview Experience

4

Yes, I have sat for some job interview rounds. First you have to apply through placement cell, then they will have your aptitude tested, further there will be a GD round where they assigned topic and you have to share your views and if you are selected you get a interview call which is the last round and then if you are selected, you get Placed !! I was quite prepared through making mocks but couldn't do well in the GD rounds.

Night Life

The campus is located at the centre of Delhi, the place called Satyaniketan "Satya" is the recreational and hangout place for the students in the south campus which is hardly a minute walk, where we have a lot of tea stall and Satya square where we sit and enjoy the crowd. There are many gaming centres too, games like snooker, carrom and many other sort of entertainment. Some of the famous cafe and restaurant here are; 1. Chauranghi 2. Dolly Aunty 3. Chicago Pizza 4. Shyam Juice shop 5. Alam Biriyani These all are open throughout the day and closes nearly 1 AM Satyaniketan has a very rich nightlife with a lot of cafe and pub, where the crowd keeps on partying whole day long. Satya is generally very safe but sometimes during elections is doesn't feel that way anymore

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
