A journey worth sharing

All I want to say about this college is that. The should support students for things other than studies also which are really helpful for the overall personality development of the students and their skills as well.

Course curriculum is good. But teachers aren't very supportive towards it. Definitely a good place for students to improve their skills but college mainly focuses on academics only rather than sports or extra curriculum activities.

I haven't experienced any internship at my college. But I have heard that some of my batchmates got few during the session and in vacations but they were mainly without stipend and recieved just an experience letter.

They don't provide any huge packages or renowned companies for the placements. I didn't attend any interview. But I remember only few companies visited at my college for the job and placement. One of them was genpact. They recruited many students but again the package was not so attractive.

Our college celebrate large number of events for example Diwali Mela. Exhibition of each department. Many educational workshops. And the biggest event is college fest. And they also organise department fest for each department.

Fee structure is quite feasible and not so expensive college also provide scholarship for students. Also college have some Scholarships for the students who faces financial problems or whose families cannot afford the fees.

I haven't availed any good scholarship / loan facility offered by college. But I am aware of a scholarship which our college provide to those students whose families suffer from financial crisis and cannot afford fees.

College provide so many opportunities for extracurricular activities, labs, sports, etc. But there is no use of it because they don't support these activities and do not have even hired good coaches or mentors for students.

There is no hostel in our college now. But we used to have a hostel. College still have the hostel building but unfortunately it's empty. They do not take admissions now. So if you are looking for hostel and u don't have any other choice except looking for paying guest rooms

Senior students are quite helpful because of the political culture of Delhi University. The seniors will help you out throughout your college admissions process and even after admissions also. They will help you to get second hand books as well.

The exam structure is good. Teachers are pretty serious for exams. Whether it's a simple class test or an external exams. They took every exam series very seriously. Class test is regular and sometimes even a surprise test may happen.

I got admission through the merit as it's Delhi University college. They uploaded their cut off list of percentage.my percentage was as per the required percentage. Then I reached the college for whole admission procedure with required documents.

I think the faculty in Vivekanand college are one of the best faculty of any Delhi university's college as they are experienced and well qualified.except few teachers. College needs to hire more teachers as classes and courses are huge in numbers as compared to teachers.
