I choose mechanical engineering .because i heard that this college have best faculty and good placement rate in mechanical engineering.exam frequency is in every six month and difficulty level is moderate

At 7th semester student become eligible for placement.there is placement cell which bring company frim different field to get placed student before pass out.package is not so high but avg package 6 to 7 lakh student get

Fees and Financial Aid

There is exemption for sc/st/obc/minority in fees .approx 15-20% exemption in annual fee. We submit the fees semester wise 40k in each semester which include tution fee 10k,3k library fee,management fee 25k

Campus Life

There is fresher party,farewell party ,cultural event,and celebrate local festival with joy.collaboration with artist,singer,vand or arrange workshop on various topic also sports tournament organize in college

I get admission in this college when i visit counselling.i feel about college good management and college campus at best place.i only apply for this college .i did not give second thought for other college

Faculty

Faculty is approachable and the ratio of faculty to student 1:20. Mr jaiswal thermodynmic faculty is best faculty. All faculty are good and supportive. 8 exam per semester and 2 internal exam per semester and 1 external exam per semester.mostly clear the exam.

Night Life

There is gym,cafeteria in campus. Garden for morning walk and evening walk. You can play outdoor games as well indoor games. Outside college there is mall road in city,hotel,cinema,cafe where student can chill or hangout.

Placement Experience:

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

Great Learning, Friendly Campus, and Bright Future

I applied to AKTU, IPU, and a few private colleges. I got selected in 2, but picked this college as it has low fees, good teachers, and fair job offers. Seniors also gave good reviews about the labs and coding help. Yes, I could not get a seat in IPU due to low rank. I was close but missed the cutoff for CS. My JEE score was not high enough. I did not apply under spot round as I had already joined this college. Admission is based on JEE Main or state test like HPCET. Cutoffs differ for each branch. You need to pass 12th with PCM.
