The course curriculum is updated frequently. Therefore its relevant Some courses have topic related to real time lire problems and even courses related to it like vaoue education , social education , gender studies etc They also have personality development classes jn 3rd and 4th semester. The 3 ica's jn every semester is conducted at an interval of about one and half months.

Placement Experience

The studebts are eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. The college has a separate cell called department placement cell solely for the purpose of placements in every department. The highest package offered is 12lpa

Fees and Financial Aid

This college has morning and afternoon shift. This morning shift is aided while the later is self financed. You dont have to pay fee every other semester. You'll be paying fee once a year. The fee for aided streams is around 33k-35k INR While the fee for self financed stream (sfs) will be slightly greater than aided by around 5-10k INR. Both the shifts are great and the professors are well trained and good at what they do. There are alot of opportunity open to you if you join this college. In the first year there will be loads and loads of scholarships coming your way. Some for merits, some for underprivileged, some for missionaries etc. They also in-college halls (hostels) Being in hall brings one many new opportunities. Overall, its a good college to be in. They environment is good the faculty and the facilities are great.

Campus Life

The college's fest or the cultural is cslled DEEPWOODS. Its is conducted for three days. Usually celebrity and singers are invited . It is organized by the college union society. The library in mcc is called miller memorial library It is huge . Has large number of books journals etc. Thay also have ebooks and access to digital library of the worlds biggest library There are a lot of materials and resources for students. You can look up miller memorial library in google This library was opened by Rajiv gandhi. Classes have projector and whiteboards. The college has a separate department for sports ( bsc physical education) Departments have their own sports event as well Students can jojn ncc, nss , uba, and a lot more extension activity. It carries credit. Departments have prayer cell every other week Usually student lead

Admission

There is no entrance exam for undergraduate course in madras Christian college. The admission us merit based. Many people apply for science and art courses Out of which the competition for bachelors of commerce , bachelor of arts economics and bachelor of science mathematics is a little high compared to other courses It doesn't mean other courses are not popular among students Other courses are too. Students dont need to give separate entrance exam . They can apply with their 12th/11th marksheet. Personally the admission process was easy and not stressful.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio ks pretty good too. The staffs are approachable and not scary They'll answer all you queries. Every course has 6 semesters . 2 per year. In every semester we have to three exams called ICA ( INTERNAL CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT) Every assessment will be for 50 marks Out of which the average of the best will be taken. The end of semester exam is conducted for 100 marks and the final score will be comverted to 50 marks. Finals mark will be the sum of ICA AND ESE mark . Toa Total for 100 marks

Night Life

The cafeteria, library closes at 6:30-7 pm . The girls hostels have a curfew of 7:30 pm. The boys hotel has curfew at 10:30 pm. After evening there isnt any actuve shops or stores in college. But outside college there are lot of hangout spots near it and its usually affordable as well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The courses are well structured and interesting espcially the social psychology and basic psychology papers. in a semester there are 2 internal exams and they will be at least a month apart from each other. as long as you study your course materials, the exams are pretty easy however otherwise it might be a tough one. the courses are well structured espcially the social and basic psychology. and in some semesters, there will be a reading period where students are encourged to go and read in the Library.. The Curriculum served as a base for Internships and basic understanding but it is required to do masters to get a job in psychology filed

Placement Experience:

The placements at college were good. Students become eligible for placement from the 5th semester. Some of the companies to my knowledge were Deloitte, Cognizant, Hexaware and the average package was between 3lpa to 5lpa. In my class, ther percentage pf students placed was more than 75%. My plan after my Bachelors was to immediately pursue Masters degree.

This college is a famous one and it is studied by many higher officials. The faculty is very good and talented, students ratio is 500:900.
