University of Kashmir-A detailed review.

My personal interest in the subject of mathematics and specifically in the field of variational inequalities made me chose this course. The course includes all the aspects required for us to do our research work and teach students in future. It also prepares us for the higher studies of mathematics due to its comprehensiveness. Exams are conducted once a year and the difficulty level is moderate.

The fees that a paid for my course is ? 30000 and it is to be paid one time. It includes all the other types of face like caution fees, registration fees, development fees etc. My batchmates also paid the same fees. However, if one choose a different course then fees varies accordingly. Yes the university offers scholarship to meritorious and needy students. I also received the scholarship of ?10000 per month. Prime Minister's scholarship scheme is also available to the students.

The life at the campus is a very good experience. It is both fun and extremely productive at the same time. The university does conduct fests in a year like the Satsoas Youth Festival etc. The library of the campus is extremely well stocked and well equipped and it contains a large variety of books, journals, research papers, study materials and so on of different courses and languages. The university has well equipped classrooms as well which have smart boards installed in each one of them. The classrooms also have Wi-Fi connections. The university also has sports facilities like cricket, volleyball, football etc.

I hail from Anantnag district itself and the campus is located nearby to my home. Also the campus has great facilities and good faculty members so I choose this university over the others. I did not get a confirmed admission elsewhere because of my personal preference to study from this university. The admission process takes some time. Students need to apply online and come to university for further paperwork etc. To be eligible for admission to the university, a candidate needs to clear the entrance test, the cut of for which varies as per the category of the students and the course chosen. The admission experience is neither too easy not too difficult.

The faculty to student ratio is around 1:50. The faculty-student relationship is very professional. The faculty members are very supportive, cordial and approachable. They are readily available for the students whenever they need help. Professor MI Bhat is my favorite faculty member. The university conducts examination once every year. Around 15-20% of the students fail to clear the examination. The course curriculum is designed to provide the desired learning outcomes and is very apt.

Yes to seek admission into this course and University I had to go through a series of tests. First I had to clear the objective type examination and then I had to clear the personal interview. The process of applying is quite simple. The students have to apply online. I prepared for this examination by seeking guidelines from my professor and consulting vast study materials and books.

The night life in and around the campus is average. The students mostly have to hang out inside the college campus in the beautiful parks. There isn't any great place outside to hangout though there are few restaurants and cafeterias located outside the campus. The university also has its own canteen which serves different varieties of food and the quality is satisfactory. Yes it is quite safe to Rome around at night. The campus timing is 9 am to 4 pm and the hostel cut off timing is around 8 pm.
