Likes

The large green campus, friendly environment, large library, good lab facilities
Very helpful teachers, good department, less fees structure in comparison with other colleges.
Good placements in courses like computer science and others

Dislikes

Not good placements for stream like Biotechnology specially if you are doing masters
The location of the campus is quite outskirt
Placements in master degree could be better

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is good but opportunity of biotechnology in west bengal as well as in India is quite low in comparison with other courses. You have to upgrade yourself by doing internships and training and other skills learning process

Class Size: 18Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The detailed fee structure for MTech Biotechnology from heritage institute is 2lakhs for 2 year including scholarship charges. The semester fees is 42000. Overall the college fees is decent but placements are not that great in Biotechnology stream

Campus Life

The overall experience at hitk Kolkata is very good. They participate in various inter college competition, provides conferences, industrial visit and all. Other than that the green large campus is very good for a fresh college experience

Admission

Heritage institute of technology is one of the best private engineering college in Kolkata as well as in west bengal for the stream of Biotechnology. The fees structure is also less in comparison with other colleges but the placements could have been better although

Faculty

In my subject of mtech Biotechnology, er are 12 students affiliated to 12 teachers. So students teachers ratio is well maintained. We are one student under one guide making us easy to work individually. Department of biotechnology specially includes very good teachers . Teachers like nandan kr jana , riddhi sir are very very well talented

Night Life

I am not a hosteller, but I have some of my hosteller friends describing about the college life at night. Firstly security is well maintained, and rooms are quite good with good food Providence also bathrooms are quite clean

M.Tech in IIT KGP - What you need to know.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario in IIT KGP is great if you're a B.Tech student. For M.Tech the placements are good but only in other departments like ME, CSE and CHE. Mostly students pursue research after M.Tech.

IIT Kharagpur - A lovely place to explore

Placement Experience:

There are wonderful placements going on in our college. The person with good talent will for sure get job here. Even they may become wonderful entrepreneurs. Minimum package will be 6LPA and average will be 20LPA.

Placement Experience:

At the end of 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placements. 1000 of company visit campus every year in January and December month. Placement takes place in two form one in December and other in January. Like IBM, puma, ICC bank, Deloitte, ABG, Lenovo, etc. highest package is about 2.68 crore per annum, average 15lpa According to different profiles. Students should have more than 8.5 cgpa for good placements. I will join a good company after completing the degree.

Remarks:

Get admission for only getting degree don't expect much. Every 2 years alumni meeting happens in our college you can find some help from old students but don't expect much from this college. After completing no one will provide job.

Remarks:

Currently, the institution In engineering category, it is holding the 19th position in the NIRF rankings among all the institutes of the country. It is an Institute of National Importance under MHRD by the Government of India along with IITs, NITs and the other institutes. Overall studying in such premier institution is a matter of pride.
