Course Curriculum Overview

4

the curriculum was well balanced as i had a personal interest in data science and coding. students are well taught and various clubs and societies encourage students to learn more about their interests, and work on various projects,i feel like certain subjects are unnecesaary for some branches in the first year which could be replaced by subjects that are better suited to the branch the exams were paced moderately so that the students and teachers had enough time to teach and learn the syllabus

Placement Experience

4

students are interviewed for internships by companies in the fifith semester, and the eligible students have the 6th semester as an internship, and the credits are earned for internship , companies like goldman sachs and jp morgan visit the college for internships and placements , the highest package for cse branch last year was around 83 lakhs per annum and average was around 16-17 lakhs, around 80 percent students were placed in CSE branch last year I am thinking about getting a job after my degree

Fees and Financial Aid

I have paid 113000 rupees at the start of my course and have availed 50 percent fees benefit due to reservation and ahd to pay 6000 only for the second semester, otherwise the fees for general category students was 94000 for the second semester, various fee relaxations are availiable for students in merit and scholarships are also availiable for financially weak students, students are given scholarships on the basis of JEE mains rank.

Campus Life

5

many technical and cultural fests are held in our college, like PECFEST in november, and various other smaller festivals in the winter months by individual clubs. books and journals are availiable to everyone with a college ID card and the collection is very massive. many sports facilities like volleyball , cricket and atheltics are availiable in the college for students to play, and professional coaches are also availiable for the sports players many social groups like Women empowerment club, student counselling cell are avaliable in the college and students are allowed to go to them for any problem they are experiencing

Admission

i applied to NIT kurukshetra and NIT Jalandhar along with PEC , i did not get an admission in any of those institutes as my first priority in my list was PEC, I made PEC a priority as it was close to my house and i had heard many good things about this college. the admission in PEC was done through JoSaa counselling after the JEE advanced exams, and admission is given beased on rank in the JEE mains exam, the admission process was easy to follow if you frequently checked the website as all of the information about the process is given there.

Faculty

4

the faculty to student ratio is good and very nice, never have i felt that more teachers are required for the students or that the teachers are burdened due to having too many students under them. I especially liked our teacher for Computer programming who had a very nice and inclusive way of teaching i did not have any reason to not like any faculty and all of the faculty is nice to all students. for the first semester i had 5 midsems and 6 endsems examinations and i think that none of the exams were too hard or anything had come in the exam which the teachers had not taught. students failed very rarely in these exams

Night Life

5

there is a student gym, pool and various other activities for students . 2 cafeterias and a market is availiable for the students 6 hostels are in the college with 2 for girls and 4 boys hostels, the girls hostels have a curfew time but the campus is safe to roam at night as it is gated with secuirity guards famous hangout places include the open air theatre and the students activity cell

Other Applied Colleges

National Institute of Technology - [NIT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Engineering)
