What Students Say
Likes
- I like how the staff are supportive to all activities though granting persmission is a bit difficult
- The faculty are friendly and are willing to help outside the classroom.
- The architecture of the building and the parks are pleasent. They create an atmosphere of peace.
Dislikes
- The only thing i dislike about the college is that the staff and faculty are sometimes under knowledged about the things going on in the college. For instance about the placements or opportunities or let it be the college club activities
- Everything is so rigid and rule based. I wish they are flexible with attendence criteria.
- Permissions are hard to granted. Permissions for feast, events.
Course Curriculum Overview
I would rate a solid 3 on 5. I have nothing against the college or the courses. I really wish we could have more time to prepare for the opportunities ahead rather than just sticking to the courses in the curriculum. The timing of exams and all the other things were okay.
Placement Experience
I heard from my seniors, they are eligible for placements right in the 3-2. But coming to my batch, we have only been applying for off campus Internships now. Also our current seniors of batch 2025 are in placements processs currently. They got offer letter from quite decent companies. I plan on learning things other than just course curriculum and apply many internships before my 4th year
Fees and Financial Aid
For students joined through AP eamcet the fee structure is 70,000 which is set by the government. Moving to the Management quota, the fee is around 1.8 lakh. The scholarship for eamcet students is provided previously by a scheme called JVD. This is also called Fee Rembersment. Okay, now the management students would generally pay in two fee terms that is 90 thousand rupees each term. For scholarship students, the yearly fee is paid in a total of four terms which is 17.4 thousand rupees each term. For the current students of first year, i believe the fee is around 2 lakh per for management. Besides these fees, we also need to pay fee for the extra sessions such as value aided courses and campus recruitment training, which would cost around 10 thousand rupees per semester.
Campus Life
Okay we have many clubs and student chapter. Let me name they GDG( google Developers groups) on campus, CSI ( computer society of india) student club, Geek for Geeks student clubs, E CELL which courses on encouraging entrepreneurship. And many other clubs such as code chef, under 25. We have 2 libraries which has book on various topics including cs, sports, many other things. We have a yearly feast which is hosted by different departments on different days of the week. Each class has a board and projector besides we also have special classes which only includ coding and learning things on our own. Coming to sports, we have a basketball course and a cricket ground. They also hold sport competitions timely. Currently E CELL is gaining a lot of attention on the campus. They hold various gatherings and events which encourage a sense of entrepreneurship in students. They also make interesting content to keep everyone engaging in the group. Also GDG and CSI also holds technical and non technical events which are both fun and knowledgeable.
Admission
I have come from a middle class family.. so i have to relay on eamcet to join a b.tech college. I have got another opportunity from jntu hyderabad but due to personal reasons, i couldn't enroll there. I have join raghu engineering college, because at my admission time this ks the only college which has a good course structure for the Artificial intelligence and machine learning. I'm very much interested in this course so i had to enroll in this college. The eligible process is done by the ap eamcet counselling. It is based on rank obtained in the eamcet examinations and other things such as cast and gender to select the students. Again college have no say in the selection process
Faculty
The faculty are assigned for each subject. For computer science and the associated courses, the faculty and the course are mostly the same until second year of the academics. Coming to the course structure it is based and sticks to the AR 20 regulations from the JNTU( Jawaharlal Nehru University).Per semester, we have two mids and 2 labs exams which includes both internal and external lab assessments. And the final exam which is the semester exam which commences right after the mid 2. I like this paticular faculty named M, she teaches java and she supports students to gain skills and event organizing and managing skills. She is so elegant and follows her own principles. I don't like this faculty called S, despite having little knowledge about the subject he teaches.. he takes all the chances to insult students somtimes.
Night Life
I dont know much about the night life and hostel timings. As far as i know, the hostelers are not allowed to roam outside the campus after evening. After our classes we hang out with our friends in park or in the cafeteria. It os quite relaxing.
