In my opinion Birla Institute of Technology is one of the best engineering colleges in our country. It provide a better platform for pursuing bachelor degree and as its alumni base is very strong and vast so if someone is decided to pursue higher studies from foreign university they are slightly on a higher edge

In first two semesters in Birla Institute of Technology Mesra, every students weather he is from CS, IT, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering everyone have to take common courses. After first year is over the the students where shifted to their respective departments. In first 2 semester as usual the Course work is quite hectic because in each semester one has to register for 6 theory paper and almost 6 Labs. After the first year the workload is quite reduced.

Yes, those students who wanted to do some project work they stay in the campus during the summer and winter and they will continue their research work in their own department departments. Labs are always open during the summer and winter and processors are there to help you in your research work also. In biotechnology and chemical engineering department there is a central instrumentation facility for very complex and sophisticated research work.

Job and placement opportunities are very very good in Birla Institute of Technology especially for computer science information technology mechanical civil electrical and chemical engineering placements starts just after 6 semester and most of the students where placed at the end of 7th semester wide range of companies from consultancy, banking sector finance sector, manufacturing sector, and core companies such as Tata Steel Vedanta Goldman Sachs Amazon Myntra IBM Microsoft TCS Axis Bank Wipro, Vedanta, byju. and many more are visiting Birla Institute of Technology Mesra each year. Average package varies from 8 to 9 lacs per annum

There are various events that has been celebrated in Birla Institute of Technology this is because there are numerous clubs related to quiz cultural activities are there in in college campus such as fine art society, music club, dance club robotics, environmental and protection club, literacy society and many more. And these clubs has been organising various events event throughout the year such as Pantheon Bitotsava.

As far as the fee structure is concerned it is quite expensive as compared to the other government colleges in the country. Per semester fee including semester fee Plus mess fee is around 1.5 lacs per SEMESTER.

There are various scholarship available in the campus but one have to work very hard to get those scholarship. In each semester, students who scores more than 8 GPA are able to avail scholarship. Student's who score 8 to 8.5 GPA avail 25% of the tuition fee from 8.5 to 9 GPA avail 50% of the tuition fee from 9 to 9.5 avail 75% of the tuition fee and above 9.5 the whole tuition fee is waived.

Despite of hectic class schedule in first year students are very enthusiastic to join various clubs such as Music club dance club Robotics club fine arts Society for painting literacy Society for poetry and many more. There is a big sports stadium including the gym facilities is there inside the campus one can spend there time working in gym in morning and in evening time. There is a wooden badminton court inside the sports complex apart from that badminton court tennis court basketball court is there in stadium

The hostel infrastructure of Birla Institute of Technology is far far better as compared to any private and Government colleges in the country. There are 13 hostels including 10 boys hostels and 3 girls hostels throughout the campus with each hostel is having its own means facility. After the completion of 1st year every student is allotted a single room.

As Birla Institute of Technology is a very old Engineering College of our country as it is established in 1956 and from that time it is regarded as one of the best and prestigious Engineering College of our country its alumni network is very vast.

In Birla Institute of Technology Mesra there is a mid sem examination after completion of 2 month of semester and after completion of 4 months of semester there is an end sem examination. The mid semester examination consist 40% and in sem examination consists 60% of the total semester marks.

I got admission in Birla Institute of Technology Mesra through CSAB counselling in 2014. Actually to get admission into Birla Institute of Technology one have to appear for JEE main with quite decent rank and then they have to register on CSAB counselling portal. According to the rank and the preference of the candidate CSAB will allot the prescribed branch and prescribed college as per the priority given by the students and their JEE main rank.

Most of the faculty members in this college are from IIT IISC Bangalore and some of them having their PHD and post doctoral degree from foreign universities. So in my opinion the faculty members in this college are of Par quality and they are always there to help you anytime if you want it to do some research work in department. Also they motivate you to go for higher study after your bachelors. They are always ready to give recommendations for those students who really wanted to pursue their higher studies from some foreign universities.
