MNIT Jaipur - Zenith of NIT hierarchy

MY course of electrical engineering is a very dynamic field , I can easily switch between government and private sector due to availability of jobs , core and non core companies both open up for talented electrical engineers . The electrical engineering course in my mind prepares me to a great extent for the physical core world but lacks the modernisation . The course should include programming languages so that the students can tackle the modern market demands .and the faculty can be a bit more open to the new ways . the exams occur twice a semester and are relatively tough.

There are two internship seasons in my college , a two month inernship in second year and a four month internship in third year . The highest stipend is 1.75 laks and various companies visit the college .

The students become eligible for the college placements in the 3rd sem and are eligible for PPOs . All the companies can't be named but JPMC , TEXAS , AMAZON are some of them and the total number is close to 92 . The highest package was 64 lpa and average is 13 lpa and 20 lpa for cs students. Almost 90 percent get placed by end of the drive . I intend to get government job after my degree through GATE or ESE exams.

MY yearly college fess comes close to 2 lakh rupees a year . approximately 80 percent of it comes under the tuition fees category , the rest are for other aminities and facilities that are provided by the college . ST and SC category students avail a full refund / scholarship on the tuition fees , meanwhile students in the income range of 1-5 lpa avail 60 percent fee wauver and 5-8 lpa avail a total of 40 percent fee waiver . Many scholarships are available for students which include state funded scholarships for students with lower level of incomes , girl education based scholarships and also merit based svholarship provided by various institutions like the reliance scholarship foundation .

There are twi fest in a year , A technical fest called SPHINX and a cultural fets called the BLITZSCHALG . The technical fest is held around november and blitx around the time of febrauary . The library state of art and almost all the books are available . The faciilities are world class and up to date . The sporting section of MNIT is one of its kind and veru advanced with acess to all the facilities . There are various clubs run by students that excel at their work.

The hostel rooms are provided with proper fans and windows , cupboards . PResence of a fast and effiient LAN ssytem too . The meals at hostel mess are relatively hygeinic and good to eat . The hostel registartiona are done online and is affordable .

I applied to all the top NITs and got a comfirmed seat from all of them in some branch but I wanted to pursue my degree from leectrical and a college in a main city therfore i went with MNIT jaipur . I didn't get electrical in the higher ranked NITs as my rank in JEE mains was not well enough to take me there . The admission to my college is through JEE mains , A student must score 99 percentile for electrical engineering and atleast 97.5 to enter the college.

The faculty to student ratio at my college is 1: 70 , the faculty to student varies over a spectrum from very interactive to at times uninvolved and uninterested . The faculty are very approachable during the wroking hours at their respective departments . Mukesh sir of electrical department is one of the best , he'll mke things light for yoy and always be there to help you out with any problem be it acadmic or otherwise . Ashok kumar Aggrawal sir is the master of his subjects and will teach you in a way that you'll master them too. Professors like uttam singh at times tend to be less interactive and less involved . There are two major exams midsem and endsem , exams are relatively on the tougher side . 10 percent student fail to pass the exams . The course curriculum is somewhat outdated .

There's no intime in the campus for the boys and the most favorable hangout places are the OAT and PMC area . There are various malls around the college like WTP and the GT area is a famus place to hangout too.
