Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is good in first sem we have 7 subjects including labs and everything, labs are also good they are well stabilized and function well and lab assistant or teachers are also good. In 1st sem we had IEE(Introduction to Electronics engineering) , IME(Introduction to mechanical engineering), Maths , PPS(Problem programme Solving in C), CADG lab(graphics designing) , IEE lab, LS Lab(Life Skills) .

Internships Opportunities

2

Intership paid and unpaid both are available and for first years we have to pay in order to do intership about 5k or much but from 2nd or 3rd year onwards we get free internships which are actually helpful and also the placement trainings and all are also there.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are good here, I don't know much about it because right now I'm in first year only. But according to seniors the placement training starts from 3rd or 2nd year as compared to the course duration and even they have on campus and off campus placement also and the avg placement in of 4 lac.

Fees and Financial Aid

My course fee per semester is 1,12,500 and this fee is for every semester for the batch 2024-28 but for the current batch 2025-29 the fee per sem has increased to 1,50,000 for my course. Caution fee for our batch was 14000. But in case of Scholarship there's no merit based scholarship by the university but there are other government scholarships which ST/SC/ OBC people or Odisha domicile people can obtain.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is boring as there's no event held by the management or by the university but clubs are good every week there's some club activity and also we have club meeting every week. So it's good and infrastructure is also good as it has greenery everywhere and we have atleast 3-4 common areas or lawn , and also there is WOW franchise inside the campus and we have our own cafe also so it's good.

Hostel Facilities

3

I am living in double decker ac room and it is very small like legit small it is better to live for a single person but not sufficient for 2 people and according to the price it's really not at all worthy.

Admission

The reason for me choosing this college over other colleges is just because the pricing over here and the placement rate of this college was better for the previous batch and also the study over here was better that other colleges.

Faculty

4

Faculty members re friendly if we approach them for any doubt at any time of the day, they are always helping us with the doubts which is a good thing and also they clear the concepts pretty well but the problem is with the course curriculum as the sem should end in about 5-6 months but they used to end in about 4 months only because of which it is really tiring for us to complete the whole sem course in about 3.5 months and also the final exams are of 100 marks and there's no gap in between. Which is also tiring as we have to read the whole in one night and then give the exam the other day. Rest everything is good faculty and all is also helpful.

Night Life

3

There's no nightlife for the girls because our curfew starts by 6:30 p.m. after that we have to stay inside the hostel whereas there's a great night life for the boys as they can access football, basketball, badminton, volleyball courts at any time whether it's night or day doesn't matter because there's no curfew for them. But if we want to access those or library we have to submit a written application to the Chief warden and then when he approve's we get to stay out of the hostel till 8:30 p.m. with proper information.

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students. The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini. The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.
