I got into my college through AIEEE in which my AIR was 36000 plus i had state quota since it was located in my home state. I opted for this col because it was nearer to my hometown as well as it was a very reputed college of India.

The course structure was designed very well. Since all the subjects of any department cant be covered fully in four years time, yet we covered majority of courses (almost 70%) and we covered all the necessary and important subjects.

I did my internship at National highways authority of india (NHAI), Bhubaneswar i was on the lower side in terms of cgpa so i could not compete for stipend paid internships. Yet the brand value of our college gave me an opportunity to do my internship in a very reputed core company.

The placement scenario of our college at our time, i.e, one year back, was neither too bad nor so good either it was one of the best in india three years back, when a lot of government as well as a bulk of reputed private companies used to visit our college three years back. But now since the government companies are not allowed to visit colleges, the placement standards have deteriorated, yet better than any private colleges.

We had a lot of events celebrated in our college like cultural, technical and sports fests and a lot of other festivals like international students meet, celebrity night, where students come out in large nos to celebrate the ocassion. Overall i would say it is due to these all activities that our students remain active and energetic through out. All these fests are very big occassion for us u can know it if you come to our college during theee fests.

I would say that our fees structure was going on expensive semester by semester dont know the reason though very expensive if you compare with the standards of government college. Anyways the college provided us all the facilities so that we cant complain.

I didnt avail any loans during my college period, but i know a lot of my friends who took study loans from State Bank of india which is also a government of india bank,at a very reasonable interest rates.

Campus life is the best I would like to say all my juniors out there to enjoy this period but at the same time they should participate in all extra curricular activities as possible and improve their inter personal skills much required during job life.

The hostel facilities of our college were very good but the mess food was not up to mark. There were a lot of complains regading the mess food in particular and the standards were improved whenever we complained but for a limited period.

The alumni network and the helping hand which our seniors have always provided can never be forgotten. That is the value we rourkela nitians share whenever you ask any of your seniors or alumni for help they will never refuse that is for sure in case of nit rourkela.
