Remarks

there is nothing negative that I would say about this college. The college has given me some of the best memories of my life. There are only positive remarks from my side. The college has maintained its discipline and has always followed its motto : I will and I can!

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Oh the course is really well curated, there are many subjects related to general management and many specifically on tourism. Subjects and teachers change each semester, so you study on different aspects like communication, advertising, psychology, management, HR, etc and a few on heritage, tour management packages, etc. They are very interesting.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, college does provide internshio. Infact, it is a part of the curriculum. Each and every student must complete at least 720 hours of logged work internshio while in second year. And yes, few companies pay while others take you on their tours while some simply give you a recommendation letter which ofcourse, adds value to your resume.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements are conducted in college. There are plenty of jobs in this field, one can choose from a back office to on board tour guide. The college has tie ups with prominent travel agencies in the city.

College Events

5

There's a lot to say in this category. Jai Hind College is known for its fests and events. Each and every department of college has its own fest. The most important ones are JAF, Entourage, Kani, Shout, Dot Com Club, etc. The fest of this course is called as Voyage: Connecting Cultures.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees are very feasible. It is a mere 6 to 7,000 for the entire year. Apart from that, the course also demands you to do certain other certificate courses during the semester which are at an additional cost.

Fees and Financial Aid

I really do not have any idea of loan facility offered by the college. But yes, there is this SUMITOMO Foundation which gives scholarship to 25-30 meritorious students each year on the occasion of Achiever's Nite and as a part of their CSR strategy.

Campus Life

5

The labs are well maintained, the computers have the latest softwares installed, there is a gymkhana in college as well, there are many sporting events and activities conducted by the Gymkhana throughout the year in which any one can participate.

Hostel Facilities

4

The college does NOT provide any kind of hostel facilities. Out station students have to find a rented appartment, or a PG by themselves. College can only aid in terms of selecting an affordable location, but does not guarantee anything.

Alumni/Alumna

Oh yes, the Alumni is really very helpful, there is an alumni association in college as well when all of them come together once or twice a year for some event and celebrations. One can check the college website to find out more on the Jai Hind Alumni Association

Exam Structure

Exam structure is same like any other course. You have internal assesment tests every semester which is of 40 Marks and 60marks of written external exams. 40 marks consists of assignments given, attendance, behaviour, etc. Whereas, 60 Marks finals is purely written exam.

Admission

Well basically, first you fill the Mumbai University form and Jai Hind College form online. Take print outs. Go to college and submit those forms with other supporting documents like Marksheets, leaving certificate, etc at the designated date and time. Wait for the list to come out, once it is out, if your name appears, take your set of documents stamped by the college woth you for your admission. Answer a few questions asked by the co-ordinator, pay the fees and you are enrolled.

Faculty

5

The college faculty is very supportive. They help you always. The management is reay good, teachers know their matter thoroughly, the lectures are very interesting and one does not feel like bunking at all. Its a two way interactive learning process that happens in classroom.

In past i have given competitive exam so at that time i was very fustrated so i decide to change my stream so therefore i choose to become an interior designer Because my father have business in the same feild so i thought to extend my father business. This feild teach us how to communicate with the people in the market and conveinced them for your design. And we do have many site visite and market survey for that.this is how this feild prepares us for real -world . This feild is very underrated Because parents think ki our child should be doctor or engineer only.as many people not consider design as an art . the duration of the exam is 15-20days . the paper are easy -moderate level.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum was great and equipped with knowledge and skills needed . It helped me for my masters in uk as well . But I feel more practical implementation of that knowledge was lacking. Exams where to easy to crack . More emphasis on Pratical part should be given . Exams should be more real problem solving oriented questions to check the knowledge of student on food safety problems in food industry.
