The university of Burdwan

The college is good. But the administration is not very good though current time there is so many changes has taken place and the condition is improving.

The course curriculum is in accordance with AICTE Prescribed curriculum.Thoug it is not relevant as per the industrial requirements of current time. It is basically theory oriented mostly dealing with outdated concepts.

In this matter the college is not good at all due to lack of proper governing bodies they doesn't arrange any internship programs by themselves. It is the students who have to arrange internship for themselves.

The total placement record is average. If we go for on campus placement then it is very poor. Mostly students gets job in either pool campusings or by other exams like GATE etc.In nutshell the authority should focus on campus placement programmes.

All the important events like Freshers party, Teachers day, Swaraswati puja, visvakarma puja, Farewell ceremony, Cultural fest ,tech fest etc. Are celebrated in college. Along with that there is Cultural club which organise programs in many events like independence day, women's day etc.

The fee structure is quite feasible but for economically weak students there is relaxation of fee. For excellent academic performance students can avail half or full fee waiver subjected to satisfying the terms and conditions.

There is TFW scholarship programs as per govt. Rules along with that for academic excellence students can avail scholarship. And students can apply for educational loan few of my friends have applied for educational loan.

The college has a playground which is in campus along with that there is an University stadium where sports related events takes place. The lab fecilities are good. The college has NSS group of volunteers which conducts many social activities in regular intervals.

The hostel infrastructure is average but it has all necessary facilities like proper drinking water supply, WiFi facility etc. But the 1st year students hostel is far away from the college campus which is a setback.

There is a dedicated alumni cell which deals with alumni related matters. But the alumni meets are not regular. But the seniors are very helpful. They help us whenever we need.

There are one semester exam followed by an internal exam in each semester. The exams are conducted as per the norms of the Burdwan University. The exams are conducted in very strict manner under the supervision of examination cell.

Firstly I have written WBJEE exam. Then the results came out. Then I opt for online counseling.In the counseling process I got selected for this college. Then I went to the reporting centre, there they have verified the documents and given me the allotment letter and then I took admission in this college.

The faculty of the college is average though some of them are excellent in their job. Many of them are rank holders in GATE. But some of them are not good. The way in which the deliver lectures in class is very poor. But no of those kind of teacher is less.
