What Students Say
Likes
- One thing that I liked here is, that there is no shortage for external activity, they brings everything up to you
- One more thing I would like to add that Faculties are well qualified in there respective area
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum in VIT AP is the perfect curriculum in terms of relevance. Each programs has has detailed Program Outcomes in respective fields to make sure that the course will be making impact in the area you need.
Internships Opportunities
There are plenty of internship offers were offered in last year from Amazon, Microsoft, JP Morgan etc. like companies, 7 students got internship in Microsoft, 5 in Amazon. One of my roommate, he is senior and before completing 7th semester, he got placed in Amazon as Software developer with 15 LPA
Placement Experience
After completion of 6th semester, students usually eligible for placements in VIT, and few students got placed too. Since, VIT's placements are centralised, so the official placement data is same for all 4 campuses, i.e, 1500+ offers were offered and 90% students got placed in the last year.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution Fees in VIT AP is divided into 5 different categories, Category 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Mine is Category 1, with 198000 per year, one of my friend from Category 2 paid 250000 per year, one with Category 5 paid 450000.
Campus Life
Talking about campus life, they are working on it to make it a lush green campus as it is a new campus, facilities are decent, students are nice to each other, these things makes campus life better in here. You will find all kinds of clubs, technical cultural etc.
Admission
The college's that accepted me, none of them was Tier 1 college, only Tier 2 colleges were there, out of those I foun VIT the best one. I was getting Category 3 in Vellore, 2 in Chennai and 1 in both AP and Bhopal campus, I was looking for Category 1 only and out AP and Bhopal, AP's ranking somehow better, so after all these, I end up with VIT-AP
Faculty
First of all let me tell the student-faculty ratio, in VIT-AP, student faculty ratio is around 12:1, which is a decent ratio. Almost all the faculties are interactive and give space to you to approach them. If we talk about exam pattern and marking scheme, which is quite simple to understand, total 3 exams per semester are there, CAT1, CAT2 and FAT. CAT means continuous assessment test and FAT stands for Final Assessment test. For final evaluation, 15% weightage is from each CAT exams, 40% from FAT and rest of the 30% from internals.
Night Life
Although I am not a hosteller and can't tell much about this, but some of my friends has shared their experience with me, so, nightlife is so good, people come and hangout together after completing there tasks, Gym facilities are also very good in the campus, Hostel in time is around 11 P.M
