The college provides AC facility for most of the time.
The college allows students to go out during breaks.
The shop next to the college have better food than in college.

The teaching is tooo slow and classes are too long.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course B.des provides you with 4years of time period or 8 semesters. Where each semester longs for 6 months each in which working days will be 5 months and 1 month of semester holidays. The exam longs for 2weeks max.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 229000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

This course is great if ur interested in creative things and many ideal jobs rather than just 9 to 5 jobs. This course is something new that anyone can try. But still most of the colleges ask for more amount of fees.

Campus Life

The campus life in this college is good enough because there is minimum of 1 or 2 fests or some sort of functions in the college per semester. The studies will go very smoothly if we know what we are doing in the course and interested in it.

Admission

The course B.Des was completely new for me and was very excited in completing this course and get the certificate. But the fees structure was as much as engineering so we had to choose the college under the budget.

Faculty

The college runs 4 years of the B.Des course. It provides 4 different specialization in this course. In the first year every thing will be the basic of all the specializations in the course so that the student will have enough knowledge to choose his course effectively.

Night Life

This college doesn't have night classes as per my knowledge. The college get closed by 5.30pm and started at 8.45am . The college night would have been better if there was anything interesting happening now and then in the college.

Course curriculum here feels more practical and idea driven rather than just theory based which was one of the main reasons I chose this course it focuses on design thinking creativity and real execution instead of only textbook learning One of the strongest parts is how it slowly builds your understanding from basics to advanced concepts through projects assignments and presentations this helps in preparing for real world work because you are constantly creating and improving your portfolio rather than just studying for exams The curriculum does prepare you for industry to a good extent especially in terms of creative thinking software usage and project handling but it can improve by including more updated trends real time industry briefs and collaboration with professionals which will make it even more relevant Teaching methods are mostly interactive and practical but sometimes they can include more workshops guest sessions and exposure to current market tools to enhance learning experience Exams are conducted with two internal assessments of around 40 marks each followed by a final semester exam of 70 marks theory and 30 marks practical the difficulty level is moderate if you attend classes and complete your work regularly it is manageable Overall the curriculum is strong in building creative foundation and practical skills but with a few updates and more industry exposure it can become even more effective for future careers

Course Curriculum Overview:

We have really packed timings. We also have a lot of chances. Like an exchange program, internships and many chances to act or work in actual projects. I really hope they could teach us animation in the course and it would really help if the clubs are active. For every exam we have to come up with something new totally out of the box. sometimes we also have to work overtime.

Ab overview of life at NIFT Bangalore

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after their graduation project in the 8th semester which is the 4th year. A good number of companies around 8-10 come for the campus placements. The minimum package starts from 6 lakhs and can go up to 20 lakhs per annum. Almost 70% of the students get an on campus placement. Some get an off campus placement as well. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters in my field.
