A decent Arts & Science college

The college in overall is quite good. A good environment, a lot of trees, very close to the Guindy Reserved Forest, so don't be shocked by the monkeys loitering around everywhere. Do not bring your food out, because the monkeys will take them. Do understand that the college is actually built on their home, the forest. So, please don't hate on them. And at the same time, do not provoke them or attack them.

It's not bad. It could be better, but the college has just become an autonomous college and the curriculum has now become a bit better. There are additional courses as well, such as certificate courses, which are quite useful.

No the college does not. Atleast for my course there has been no internship provided so far and I'm in my final year at the moment. Perhaps for other departments, internship maybe provided. Departments such as BCom, BCA

Placement and job opportunities are pretty good. Every year, a set of very good companies come to the college for placements. They do recruit a quite good amount of students as well during these placements.

We have our department culturals that take place every year for all the existing departments in the college. Other than that, our national holidays too get a grand celebration. Then we got Sports day as well.

Fee structure is quite feasible when compared to other colleges. It is split up quite well and does increase every year by a certain amount. So it's kinda worth the money if you ask me. It works well for all people.

Scholarships are provided to those students who's family income is quite low, and who's college grades are quite good. The scholarship is pretty good in my opinion as it really does help out a lot of the students.

The labs are quite good and have good equipment in them. Sports is given a huge advantage in this college, especially cricket, one of the reasons why this college is pretty famous, the cricket team and its ground. There are a good amount of extracurricular activities as well, such as music club, dance, theatre clube,etc.

The hostel infrastructure is not bad. It's decent. I do not stay in the hostel myself, as I reside pretty close to the college. But couple of my friends do live in the hostel, and I haven't heard them complaining about it. The food provided to them is quite good as well.

The alumni network and seniors in the college are helpful and very friendly to the juniors. They always involve their juniors to participate in events and competitions with them. A fellow senior of mine was very helpful to me and helped me in the admission process.

The exam structure is quite good. For each semester, we have 2 internal exams, one model exam, and the final exam. These exams do take place in quite a good time as well and are not too far apart nor are they too close to each other.

The application was an online application on the college website. At the end of filling the form, we would receive a date for interview. On the day of interview, we were asked to bring all the necessary documents and at the end of the interview, I was given admission into the college.

The faculty of the college is quite good. Good set of professors who have adequate amount of knowledge on the subject, and are always willing to help out their students at any time without any hesitation.
