It is a very good institute in terms of palcements , job opportunities , academics , college life and freedom of students. DTU needs to improve in terms of research and entrepreneurship to encourage its students in these fields as their are many future oriented opportunities.

I am studying B.tech (IT) From DTU and course curriculum is very good. In first year everyone needs to study common subjects like mathematics , physics , chemistry , basic mechanical engineering , proramming fundamentals etc. irrespective of their branch. From 2nd year students shifted to their respective departments. Course for IT is very good all subjects are very interesting and useful , also electives provide by University are very good and practical and also future oriented like machine learning , artificial intelligence , malware analysis etc. Also studends can do mooc course from outside (from a reputed college or a organisation )and gets credits for this course.

Yes , there is a new programme launched by University in 2016 University Student Internship Programme (USIP) under which students get deployed for a period of 3 months in various departments of university in H.o.d offices or dean office etc. and get a stipend of 2.5k every month. Also in 3rd year there is a internship session for students coming into 3rd year and All big firms like Google , Microsoft , Amozon ,Samsung, Goldman sachs , Adobe etc. visit the campus for hiring students for internship and provide very good packages of around (50k- 1 lac) per month.Around 150-200 companies come for internship hiring.

Placements in the campus are excellent. All big firms around the globe comes for hiring like Google , Facebook , Microsoft , D shaw , Goldman Sachs , Amazon , Samsung etc. Around 250 companies visit last year for campus placements.Last year the highest package offered is 1.27 crore p.a. by Uber (california ) and average package for computer related profile is 12-13 lacs per anum. Around 100-120 students got a package above 20 lacs.

Most enjoyable and interesting part of college life is events and fests. In DTU there are more than 150 societies for different purposes like vibe dance society , pratibimb dramatics society , madhurima music society , nss dtu ngo , and many coding societies like IOSD , IEEE etc. Which organise their events in the campus all over the year which are very enjoyable. There are 4- major fests in DTU : 1. YUVAAN literary fest held in (january every year for 3-dyas) full of many interesting events. 2. INVICTUS Tech fest (in February every year ) for Tech related events. 3. Most famous ENGIFEST (largest cultural fest of north India held for 3-days ) It is the best 3-days of DTU , many big stars come every year like last sunidhi cahuhan , vishal and shekhar , lagori band , nucleya (no.1 in India ) , Bas jackers (35th in world) , Quintino (25th in world) , Guri punjabi singer , mankirit olakh etc. Comes in last 2 yaers. 4. AAHVAAN sports fest (held in march every year for 3- days ) various colleges participate for sports held in sports complex of DTU. Last year comedian Zakir khan comes for closing ceremony of AAHVAAN. SO, fest life is best in DTU i guarantee it.

Fee structure for every year is increasing by 10% of previous at my time fees for first is 1.38 lacs and increase by 10% for all years. This year the fee for first year is around 1.66 lacs.The fee is feasible as the fee in private institutions are much more than that.

All scholarships provide by government are valid in DTU and also university provide scholarship to economically weaker students (whose family income is less than 4.5 lacs are eligible to apply ) decided by the committee whether to provide scholarship or not and how much 50% or 100%. You can also get loan from sbi bank in DTU which is in campus or from outside at reasonable interest rate (as it is a premier institute ) around 8-9 % per anum upto 20-25 lacs without no coleteral.

Labs facilities are good and improving day by day new machines comes time to time. DTU has full furnished sports complex with courts for different games , indoor hall , and Gym. Coaches are persent for every sports present to guide students. Extracurricular activities are good and many activities held time to time.

Most beautiful and main part of college life is hostel life. In DTU hostels are in good conditions and the campus life in DTU is amazing this is the main reason for me being in DTU , you will here enjoy best 4- years of your life. The campus is 164 acres large and very beautiful and full of greenery. There is no curfew time for boys inside campus they go anywhere inside campus whole night but not come inside campus after 11pm. For girls inside coming time is 9 pm and curfew time for inside campus is 11pm. Hostels are not provided to delhi students in normal conditions but all outside delhi candidates get hostel easily. There 9 boys hostels and 6 girls hostels. The most famous maggie baba sits inside campus near main gate till 3 am , students enjoys baba's talks with his famous chai every night and there is a canteen mic-mac near boys hostel opens till 2:30 am every night.

DTU has much bigger alumni network with very famous personalities in every field like shushant singh rajput(actor) , vinod dham ( father of Pentium chips) , dhurjoy dutta (writer) , vijay shekhar sharma ( ceo paytm), yogi goswami and many more you can find it easily on google or dce-dtu alumunus website. And seniors of DTU are much helpful in every aspect from academics guiding to study material to every matter you face in college. DTU is a ragging free campus.

In each semester there is a mid- semester examination (25-30 marks) and an end- semester examination (40-50marks) , each subject comprise of 100 marks out of which (70-75 marks ) are for mid sem and end sem marks and rest of marks are given for labs , attendance , assignments , class tests etc.

In DTU admission in B.tech is through JEE Mains exam held every year throughout the country , from this year (2019) the exam is conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) twice a year one in January and second time in April. Around 1.5 million students gives JEE Mains every year out of which 2 lakhs are qualified the exam and are eligible for admission in various NITs , IIITs and GFTIs all over India and also eligible for JEE Advance for admission into IITs. For admission in DTU after qualifying JEE Mains exam one needs to fill JAC Delhi form, which gets active in last of week of may till mid June on JAC Delhi website. JAC Delhi is a central counseling organisation which provide admission in DELHI TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY (DTU) , NETAJI SHUBHASH UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY (NSUT), INDIRA GANDHI DELHI TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY FOR WOMEN (IGDTUW) and INDRAPRASTHA INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DELHI (IIITD). After paying fees one needs to wait for first cutoff list and if found eligible , got a seat should report to its prescribed college with all documents (original) for document verification , once this is done he/she gets admission in the respective branch and now he gets promoted itself after every cutoff comes according to his preference list he fills in JAC form. After completion of all cutoff rounds students gets their deserving branchs according to their ranks in JEE mains. A separate cutoff list for all categories is publish by JAC (sc/st/obc-ncl/ews) for intake of students. 85% seats are reserved for delhi category students (who pass XII or equivalent exam from delhi , for private candidate whose XII exam center is in delhi ) and 15% seats are for outside delhi category. Separate reservation applied for (sc/st/obc-ncl/ews) delhi category and outside delhi category.

Faculty of college is average, some professors are very good and helpful , most of faculty is ph.d or pursuing their ph.d. All faculty is doing their work properly but all depends on a student whether he wants to study or not. So , if a person wants to study he will get full resources and help here.
