Remarks
I like my college. It is more than adequate for the proper standards for mbbs students. If you really want to learn then you get to know everything. But you have to study yourself you need to want to learn if you want to grow as a medical student.
Course Curriculum Overview
It is a very good college located in the heart of Kolkata. Very experienced teachers are present. All the faculties are very good. They take extreme care in teaching the students. The course followed is as per MCI regulations.
Placement Experience
After mbbs you can do house staff ship here. The college always welcomed it's ex students provided you are competent enough to handle the duties. Else there is neet pg for further studies. There ain't any placements as such which is not seen in any medical college.
College Events
There are a lot of events in the college most of which is looked after by the association which is formed by students of each year of the college. The fest, graduation ceremony, football tournament, badminton tournament, cricket tournament are some of them.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It depends on what type of seat you get. But for the quality of education that you get it is more than feasible. But the payment scheme is fully transparent and you get proper information and you can decide on whether you can afford it or not.
Fees and Financial Aid
Nope. Not that I am aware of. I know that there are no scholarship facilities available in my college. Unsure if the college arrangers for loans. One has to contact those in the administrative cell for the required information.
Campus Life
They are good. There is a badminton court, table tennis board, then a big field which is used for both cricket as well as football. And the association organises various sporting events all over the year which I feel is more than adequate.
Alumni/Alumna
There is no alumni organisation as such. The seniors are very helpful, they will help you in all your work and assist you and direct you in how to go about your work and find yourself, your own identity in your college. They really help you to grow as a person.
Admission
WBJEE(West Bengal joint entrance examination). You have to give joint entrance examination which is now neet. I got in through government quota. I used to study at aakash coaching institute which had helped me to crack it.
Faculty
The faculty is very good. Very experienced teachers are present. They take extreme care in teaching the students and are very knowledgeable. They are one of the top most in their respective fields. All the departments are equally good.
