The college gives equal importance to studies as well as other activities. The college is excellent in terms of infrastructure, laboratory facilities, college management and support staff. The students enjoy a lot.
Course Curriculum Overview
The MBBS course is very prestigious course for a duration of 4.5 years and 1 year of mandatory internship. The MBBS course is divided into 4 parts namely mbbs 1st, mbbs 2nd, mbbs 3rd part 1 and mbbs 3 part 2. The course in total has 19 subjects.
Placement Experience
In the MBBS course, internship is mandatory and hence the students intern in their last year after the 9th semester. The stipend paid to the students is around 10,000/- a month for a year of internship.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is set and authorized by the Govt. of West Bengal. When i was during my course, the fee was around INR 7L per annum but it increases by 10% every year. The fee is a little high and may not be affordable for everyone.
Campus Life
The college organizes medical conferences and events such as sarwasti puja, independence and republic day celebration and our annual fest "PLEXUS". The college also organizes inter college football tournaments, inter college cricket, badminton, table tennis tournaments, etc.
Hostel Facilities
A separate hostel for boys and girls is available in the college at Rs.3000 per month as room rent, excluding mess charges. Quality of food is average in the mess. The hostel offers single and double occupancy rooms.
Admission
For admission in the MBBS course, i gave the all India entrance test NEET UG and scored very good marks in it. After this, there was an online counseling round in which i was directed to this college for admission.
Faculty
They are well qualified and educated, and are very cooperative with the students. The faculty is extremely enthusiastic about the curriculum and teaching. Their guidance is always there for us which helps us alot during our studies.
