Likes
- 1.I liked the diversity in the collage as there is collaborative environment amongst students 2. There are continuous competitions happening in the campus which keeps us engaged and active about the corporate world
- We have personal mentor for us incase if we get any problem regarding behaviour of faculty, marks issue, or any issue we are facing. Also a mentor meeting is scheduled where a feedback is given to me, where I am told About how I can improve myself
- We have rms system, in case we have any problem related to university we can register it on rms and solution is provided to me within 42 working hrs
Dislikes
- There are alot of restrictions on girls and hostel in time for girls is 7:00 pm which is very disappointing
- Here they charge you for minor things like I would like to share an incident where I was alloted hostel room but the walls were damaged so it was there mistake still I had to pay 1000 rs to change my room
- Everything inside campus is very expensive and overpriced
Course Curriculum Overview
I would rate curriculum a 7.5/10 when it comes to further academic pursuits. Being a cloud computing student I am happy being able to use all services on AWS. The difficulty level of exam varies every year
Fees and Financial Aid
1. Yearly fees for the course is 1,40,000 2. There is no category everyone pays same fees Per semester fees is 84,000 Exam fees per year is 4,000 Placement classes fees is 18,000 3. Fees for them is mentioned in point 1 4. I have 28% scholarship
Campus Life
There is no time for campus life as the classes time is hectic, we have 9-5 classes mostly and then preparing for continuous assessment exaust you already. After 5 I really don't get energy to do any thing
Hostel Facilities
1. I am provided with a table, chair, bed, mirror and geyser in the hostel room 2. Hostel food isn't good at all 3. For mess we have 3 options 4. No nonveg is allowed inside campus 5. Fees for mess is 45,000 and keeps increasing by some amount every year
Admission
Addmission is given on the basis of JEE MAINS score and 12th class score. I did not get chance to apply to NIT and IIT, as LPU's advertisement is great it caught my attention and I landed up getting admitted here. University also has it's own exam called LPU-NEST which can be given to avail the scholarship
Faculty
I am in my 4th semester recently and I have 11 courses. The exams curriculum is very hectic. Each subject have 2 class test excluding MTE and ETE and they hold weightage of 45 marks which consume alot of time. Like we get very less time to get busy with extra curricular activities. Faculties are not good except for core subjects faculties i.e cloud computing, they focus on giving us practical knowledge of AWS and Ubuntu instead of just reading ppt
Night Life
There are 2 gyms in university, a central library and no activities are done in hostel. Infact night life is worst for girls as the rules are very strict when it comes to girls hostel. Also we have nothing to hang out near by except for Amritsar
