Remarks

Our college is best is all respective fields like Teaching, Sports, Activities and Courses. But there are little negatives like It is not a Centrally Located from all types of Facilities like Food, Gardens and Repair Shops

Course Curriculum Overview

My course curriculum (i.e. BCom) is very wide and comprehensive. It guides our life various aspects like Financing, Taxation etc Exam Structure is very strict. All exams are held and checked with no means of biasness and fraud.

Placement Experience

Placement Structure is very Good and timely Handled and with earlier proper Guidance by the respective Faculties. Interview process is practiced before the actual so as to boost the confidence and to leave the problems aside.

College Events

Almost all the eventsvare celebrated at our college like Holi, Diwali, Freshers, Farewell and lots according to the relevant dates and festivals. This is handled so exceptionally so that it does not become a hurdle in our studies.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Well it's a Govt College So Fees Structure is very economic so that all families can easily admit their children It also provides Scholarships to different types of Families. A Family has never faced any kind of Financial problem in this college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Well I know many Students which comes from low income families which have availed scholarships to help them study in our college. Sorry, I was not one of them So I can't give you exact names of the Scholarships that are provided. FYI, Scholarships can be better explained by our Principal.

Campus Life

Our extracurricular activities are very wide. We have the Best Annual Sports Day We go to other colleges to compete and vice-versa. We have all types of facilities for all types of interests of thr students like Dancing, Judo, Athletics, etc.

Alumni/Alumna

Our Alumni Network is the Best. Former Students are welcomed peacefully and with no restrictions. They can come to meet the teachers, Friends, and take guidance for their Future lives. Our faculty happily helps them.

Admission

Based on the merit list provided by Panjab University. Those who got highest marks in 12 standard and some quotas like sports, SGC etc got the admission first. Full admission process was held in Panjab University

Faculty

Its the one the best college you can find in Chandigarh and also under Panjab University. It's Faculties, Campus, Teaching Pattern, Hygienic Rooms and Lifelong guidance by our respectful teachers are Simply the Best.

Learning and Growth at PGGC-11

Placement Experience:

The students can sit for placements in their final year of course. The tricity based companies come for campus placements for jobs that need strong communication skills and basic knowledge of their domain. The maximum package that was offered goes up to 5 LPA, and the average packages are lower than this arounf 3 LPA. I wanted to go for Post Graduation so did not opt for campus placement.

First SEM Experience

Placement Experience:

Around 80-90% of the students get placed in my course. The average package is 3LPA - 5LPA. This college has a decent placement record. The highest package offered is 7.6LPA. Companies like Google , Deloitte , Amazon , Infosys , Wipro , etc. come to the campus to pick excellent students for their company. The college also has a dedicated placement cell which helps the students to prepare for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is not hard ofcourse but it's pretty old fashioned and non modernistic . No technology inculcation in the curriculum. Difficulty level is not much . There should be modernisation of the curriculum. More technology inclusion . More tech based learning . More practical education.

THE LIFE AT DAV COLLEGE

Placement Experience:

We do have a training and placement cell which is run mostly run by both students and teachers. Students with good percentile can sit for placements and can get place into companies which are mostly from BPO and sales background. Students are eligible for campus placements in their 5th semester. Companies which have came in our college in 2024-2025 are Sri ram insurance , Kotak insurance , Planet spark , De shaw , Zomato etc. Highest package offered is around 5 LPA and average package is around 1.5 LPA. I have planned to go for higher studies after my graduation, most probably I will be doing MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Application for this college is easy process. You just need to fill a form from dhe.chd.gov.in for which you have to pay very nominal fee ( i paid 70rs in 2023). Teaching methods are okay.likr there's so such thing that college is in Chandigarh so better teachers or something.

Overall average experience

I applied for 5 college sd mcm dav gccba 50 and pgcc 11 and i got admission into 2 colleges mcm and gccba 50 . I chose this college over mcm beacuse it was near to me and discipline is properly made . Yes I did apply to other colleges. But this college was my top preference.This is the best college for commerce if you are there to study. No i didn't get any rejection from other colleges.
