Dislikes
- infrastructure is not so good according to fees
- mess food is below average , also they take high mess charge from us
- hostel rooms are not so good , too old , need maintainence
Course Curriculum Overview
curriculum is good as it include artificial intelligence related subjects from 2nd year . there is python in our 1st semester which gives overview of coding . but there is subject like engineering drawing which is of no use it should be removed fro our curriculum as it is just time waste .
Internships Opportunities
on campus variousbcompanies come to pec for providing internship . which give good stipend in CSE branch maximum stipend given is around 1.5 lakh per month , and minimum around 15 to 20 k . companies like jp morgan , microsoft , american express and various other companies also come to pec for hiring which gives PPOs (pre palcement offers)
Placement Experience
form 3rd year college placements get started but student can do side internship by themself in 1st and 2nd year offcampus type , there is no restriction from our college . in 2023 atlasian give highest package of 83 lpa . various companies like microsoft , jp morgan , american express come to PEC for hiring .

for btech one time fee = 19000 semester fee = 94k total = 1,13,000(for day scholar) hostel fees (annual) = 81500 mess charges (per month ) = around 2800(depends on holidays also) scholarships there are various scholarships are provided for sc st bpl ews students
Campus Life
there is PECFEST happen in our college in which singers come like recently Asees kaur , Vishal-sheker come to PEC in pecfest , , there are various competions in pecfest and various fun activities done ,
Hostel Facilities
in room only table chair bed and fan is provided , room is short according to 2 person living inn a room . mess food is average but some times it is good . mess menu is normal which involves sweets in dinner ,
Admission
I also applied for NIT kueukshetra where I am getting IT(information technology) and NIT Jalandhar (CSE). I prefered PEC over them because of its location in chandigarh good median and average package of CSE branch . I talked to many seniors in PEC , NIT Jalandhar , NIT Kurukshetra , and then I take final decision to come to PEC
Faculty
exam system : quizes midsem , viva , end sem there is relative grading in our college CGPA is given to us in every semester end sem weightage is around 50 to 60% (vary subject wise) quizes + viva cosider about 15 to 20% of total mid sem around 20 to 25%
Night Life
there is gym in our college which open in early morning around 6 am and closes around 8 pm there is NESCAFE in our college and PEC market on regular day library are open till 8pm but during exam time library is open till 12 pm . PEC is very safe for girls there are security guards
