Remarks

I like being a part of the best commerce college in Delhi University. It was an experience that will stay with me for life and that has helped me in becoming a better version of myself.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

There are 2 courses available at my college i.e. Bcom honours and Economics honours. The classes are smart classes and there are regular tests to make you well versed with the subjects.

Placement Experience

5

The placement cell of SRCC is the best as you must have read in the news and social media. Big MNCs and other companies like Google, Microsoft, and others come to the college and hire candidates with pay packages as high as 24 lacs per annum.

College Events

5

SRCC is famous for the events held at it. The annual fest that is crossroads is famous for its cuisines, big celebrity shows and the huge crowd. Business conclave is yet another event that calls big business tycoons to give motivational speeches to the students. Also, there are other events like CA confluence, freshers party etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees are minimal that is 30000 per annum. It is nothing compared to the facilities provided at the college like centrally AC college, 4 canteens, hostel facility, playgrounds, sports stadium, gym facility, library, book store and so many other facilities.

Fees and Financial Aid

I opted for an army scholarship. It was easy, I had to just get the official signature on my mark sheets and the principal's signature.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life of SRCC as per me is the best. The crowd is so much better than any other college in Delhi University. There are various societies in SRCC that keep organising various events for the entertainment of students and they also provide huge gifts for the winners.

Alumni/Alumna

Ragging is banned in SRCC. The seniors are really sweet and if you think that you are scared of seniors and college life than you shouldn't worry if you are in SRCC because the seniors are very sweet and helpful. SRCC has alumni benefits as well.

Admission

I scored 96% in my top 4 subjects and I was selected via the second cut off. There was no entrance test that year. The admissions are open as soon as the results are out though you have to fill the forms beforehand. The cut off remains high so try to at least score above 95%.

Faculty

5

The teachers are usually PHDs and research professionals who are well versed with their subjects. They not only teach you about the bookish knowledge but also the recent current and practical knowledge you need to know about the subject. All the teachers have at least 10 years of teaching experience.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
