Course Curriculum Overview

5

The B.tech in AI&ML curriculum is well structured and covers fundamental to advanced topics in AI, ML and data science. I chose this course because of its emphasis on neural networks, Deep learning and data analytics which are crucial for carrer in AI developments and research. Area for improvement: More hands-on projects and case studies. Exams occur twice per semester. Some subjects are challenging.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total course fees for the B.tech in AI&ML is 4,80,700/-. Fees of 2nd year - 1,72,900/- Fees of 3rd year - 1,53,900/- Fees of 4th year - 1,53,900/- Tuition fee - 92900/- Activity fee - 1000/- Admission fee - 60000/- All the batchmates have same fees. Security fee - 10000/- No scholarship recieved yet.

Campus Life

4

Campus life at MAIT is vibrant, with numerous social and extracurricular activites. The major annual fests include Anugoonj and Tnm usually held in february and march, featuring both cultural and technical events. The library is well-stocked with academic books and research journals.Classrooms are equipped with smartboards, projectors adn high speed internet. Sports facilties are available. There are many student run groups and clubs available in the campus.

Admission

I applied to USICT, MAIT, MSIT, ADGITM and other colleges also and got confirmed in all except USICT. For lateral entry student, a exam called LEET is taken. The most preffered exam is JEE Mains with cutoff around 93 percentile. Admission was competitiive but smooth

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is approximately 1:30, ensuring that students receive adequate attention. Most faculty members are knowledgeable. Faculty members I like - Gunjan Chugh, Neelam Sharma, Tripti Lamba. They are excellent in subjects of AI&ML. One faculty member I did not like - Sneha Sharma. She lacks interactive teaching methods. There is one mid sem exam and one end sem exam per semester. They are easy but some have diffcult grading. Only few students fail to clear the examinations. Curriculum covers all fundamental concepts.

Night Life

4

Night life around MAIT is limited, with most facilitied closing early. The gym, cafeteria and library shut by 9 pm. Hostel in-timings are 9-10 pm and campus gate close by 8 pm with strict security. LAte night outings require prior permission, especially for hostel residents. Popular hangout spots inside campus include NesCafe, student canteen and garden. The locality is safe to roam around night.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
