Course Curriculum Overview

4

Baically i did'nt personally want this course im getting this course according to my rank but some students choose their course according to their passion and interest, one of y friend is getting IT branch but he chose ECE because he is good in making electronic items. So chose according to your situation. I personally don't like my curriculum beacuse in my 1 semester i was studying engineering graphics which is a subject of mechanical department and civil engineering subject, they have don't use in my electrical engineering so why im studying these, i don't like this thing only in my curriculum rest is good. In 2nd year every branch study their branch subjects only. The difficulty level of exams are normal, sometime whole paper was fro pyq paper so it is easy to do.

Internships Opportunities

3

The internship opportunities are not that much good because the no. of students are more and companies come for internships are less. But the companies which come are pretty good like i know a girl of 3rd year who got internship from company named, Rakuten from Tokyo which is good opportunity. You can also apply for internships by cold emailing to the professor of foreign colleges and also get from your college professors. Basically im a 1st year student so i don't have pretty much idea about internships, but as much as i knew i told you above. So, i will rate it accordingly

Placement Experience

4

The placement are excellent but this time, recession period the placements are down but overall it is better. Main thing is that all branches student apply for tech companies by which placement percentage affects. In the end of 2nd semester you are eligible for applying internships through college. The past recruiters are Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Google, Adobe and many more top Mncs. The overall highest package of this year is 85.30 lakhs and overall 70% students get placed which is quite good. Even if you have good linkedin profile you also get good jobs through that because DTU have its own brand name. For your knowledge you should know that Paytm, Firstcry founders are fro DTU college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure for BTech 1st year is 236000, 2nd year is 246700, 3rd year is 266700, and for 4th year it is 286700. So the total amount for BTech 2024-28 batch is 1036100. There are two types of scholarships available by DTU students majorly, which are DTU's own scholarship and NSP, which is given by Delhi government itself. Some scholarships are also available for students such as DELL Aspire, Airtel, etc. I applied for DTU's scholarship and I get the 100% tuition fees scholarship. The fees are increasing because for the previous year 2023-24, 1st year fees were 229000, 2nd year was 236000, 3rd year was 246700, and 4th year was 266700. So you can easily see fees are increasing, and you also can see the pattern.

Campus Life

5

The campus life of DTU was pretty good, they have OAT(Open Air Theatre) where you can enjoy, spend alone time, do your work. College also have great library which is open from 9 am to 10pm on normal days but in exam time it is open full 24hrs which i like most. The canteens are also quite good and have healthy food at a normal price. Technical fest like invictus and Esummit held at OAT and annual fest, Engifest concerts held at concert ground. College also do social works like blood donation, society like NSS take blood from student give some goodies to them, which i like most. All societies are good, the main society of college which conducts all main events like Fresher party, Engifest, Yuvaan, Sanedo etc, known as Cultural Council(CC).

Admission

At starting i don't want to come in this college, first i appear for JOSSA counselling for IITs where i get IIT Dhanbad with mining branch which i did'nt like then i appear for JAC counselling and i prefer DTU over NSUT and IIITD because in IIITD the academic culture was too much hectic and core branches of NSUT are not good and DTU was very good in all factors. The admission process is little bit confusing and very risky, you have to submit 95k at time of counselling and you have to go once in allocated college in a particular round for physical document verification which is vey necessary. Before the start of counselling read jac counselling rule book which is available in their website.

Faculty

3

Till now my experience with faculty members was good, but some problems also faced by my civil engineering subject in 1st semester teacher Mr. Ashutosh Trivedi, in his subject exam i write the answers point to point and with all margins and underlines after all this thing he gave 21/40 i expect around 30/40 and next thing which i don't like is that he did'nt give the sheets to show us. I had very bad experience with him. But i also have very good experience by my maths teacher Mrs. Parul Chauhan in 1st semester, she teaches very good also give good marks according to question's solution overall she is not unfair with us. Our whole class was happy with her. 2 exams session held in 1 semester one is mid sem and other is end sem. You don't need to pass in both the overall marks of mid sem and end sem should be 26+.

Night Life

3

The night life was not that much good that you see of IITs or BIts college because many students are Day scholars and from pg, only few are from hostels. Entry for pg students is closed at 9pm which is not good because they don't get night life experience of college. Timings for Gym is 4-5pm and 7-8pm and girls hostel is closed at 11pm. The campus is not that much big so that we hangout inside college. The cafeterias are also open full day but only one cafe open full night known as MIc Mac Cafe.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

So placement cell is not present in college because of low intake of students but the students are very skilled to crack Gsoc , and other internship opportunities which lands them into big company. Also very good alumni network is present in college which boosts the placement of college.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
