Zakir Hussain College is Life!!

Well, the only thing that inspired me to take botany was definitely the love for animals and all. I agree this is more of a passion course but our course teaches us all the aspects related to it. Exams for DU have too many breaks in between and if this changes as it consumes a lot of time for the exams to happen.

Honestly I know Zoology course placements aren't much. It's a research based course and therefore if we are hired by some researchers we might get a job worth 30-40k in hand. However, for other courses the placements at our college are great.

Zakir Hussain Delhi College is a renowned college and the thing that adds to its beauty is the fees that they charge. For BSc Botany which not many colleges offers, ZKDC charges just a shade over 17k and that's more than meaningful because education should be accessible and affordable for all is what I think.

Zeenat is our annual festival and it is like a go to thing because not many events like other colleges happens at ZKDC. I m into music and therefore both societies like Dhwanik which is a classical music society and Illume which is western music society, I am a part of both the societies.

Be it locals or outsiders everyone has to give CUET and even on cut-offa there's no partiality. However, outside quota is just 20% and therefore another competition is there inbetween the students from other cities and states who wants to apply for DU.

ZKDC faculties are impartial as outsiders like us are are given the comfort we deserve and also the best part is that we are given as importance as the locals. So, in classes we all are the same page and that's the beauty of it. Rashid Mohammed is by far the best faculties that I have met so far in my college life at ZKDC.

Delhi Gate is the nearest metro and we have many Delhi iconic places close to our campus. From Lodhi Garden to beloved Lotus Temple aren't far. For food Ankur Plaza has enough food cafes and outside that street food vendors are also available.
