AIEEE entrance i got 55760 rank all over india . On this rank it was sure that i can only take admission in state govt college .As my college is govt college and reputed college in punjab state . Its ranking college in punjab . Guru nanak dev engineering college is affiliated to ptu and ugc also it has certification from naac team also and computer science branch of this college is good for placement point of view . So thinking all this things i participated in spot round counclling of this college and i got admission.

Course curriculum is very good scheduled . Syllabus content and lab all are updated with latest technology everything is fine only faculty members are not satisfactory. They have no good practice and knowledge on technology. They only explain overview . They dictate from book line by line no innovatives only they focus on formats . Not on improvement. Only faculty factor is negative aspect. As in this college no highly qualified experienced faculty so there is better environment for any kind of research . Only they will provide instrument resources , no guidance .If you prefer internet or youtube for guidance then no problem in this college.

For internship no company came in this college . But placement graph of this college is good. Then main recruiter of this college is tcs,infosys,sapient, tech mahindra,indian army etc . For cse and it branch for placement pont of view good college.

This year for batch 2012-2016 approximate 200 students are placed . 95 in tcs , 95 in infosys , around 15 in cybage , etc etc are placed . In next month more copmanies are scheduled for placements , hope so mostly students will be placed this year.

College fest,youth fest are organized every year. Some societies like iste ,regularly organize quiz fest skill improvement programs,competitions etc .So a good environment for skill development like communication ,leadership etc.

Scholarship is provided only to punjab state students. As i belong to other state,so no scholarship is provided by govt or college.

Campus life is fine as its state college ,so culture in this college is punjabi culture. As this college has o follow reservation policy ,so 85% of the students are from punjab and mostly students of this state are non technical ,they only take admission due to reservation . Gender ratio in cse and t branch is good, about 1:1. there is lack of technician in every labs . There is no good programmer and technical person in lab . So its an big issue in college .Faculty staff can't solve all problems . So college is backward in practical point of view.

Seniors are good,helpful . They always ready to help their juniors.Friendly environment is there in college.

Hostel facility is good in new hostels. but in ld hostels room are not in good condition .There is no water problem in hostel . But the foo of hostel mess is not fare. They don't provide all kinds of nutrients in sufficient quantity .Mess charge is high n
