Course Curriculum Overview
well i didnt know about the curriculum before taking admission so i obviously didnt take admission based on the curriculum. the curriculum is not 30% based on the real world problems but it is enough to provide you degree though. the areas of improvement i think can be making it a bit more industry oriented and actually teach the stuff that will help you get the job. there are two semester in a yera ane is long and one is short. so the frequency and timing of exams are adjusted accordingly.
Internships Opportunities
generally some of the companies that come here for placement also offer internships and then placement. so the internship oppturnities are less than placements but yeah. the projects differ from company to company.
Placement Experience
The college provides placements. and if you dont want to get in the job sector there is also the option of preparing for entrance exams for matser like gate, cat etc. and also you can also prepare for government exam, they prepare you for that.in 5th or 6th semester you become eligible for campus placement. a lot of major companies visits like jp morgan, tcs etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
the yearly fee is 212000 and they have scholarship test called cucet based on which they provide scholarship. the fee for the complete course is 106000 per semester and there are four semesters. the registration fee is 1500. and the examination fee is 2500. the fee only increases for the new admissions. scholarships are also available on the basis of 12th merit.
Campus Life
the overall campus life is great. timely fests and events are held. some of the main fests include cu fest and tech fest. they are typically held in the month of march and april. There are also a lot of libraries inthe whole campus and they include a range of books related to every course. there is ac and projector in every classroom along with charging port attached to every desk. there are lot of extracurricular activities like sports, dance, music and theatre. and as i mentioned earlier , plenty of clubs and societies.
Admission
To be honest i didnt apply to many colleges, it was the only option clear for me and this college had better national and international rankings compared to other colleges and it was affordable over them too. i applied to thapar university before but i didnt get the desired course there so i have to come this college. the admission process goes like this first you have to give scholarship test if you want to, then when you get the scholarship you have to pay the course fee and it was done. the eligibility criteria is different for every course for my course it was 75% in 12th. the exams accepted for the course are jee and 12th board exams. the overall admission process was chaotic honestly, you really have to be strong enough to tolerate that.
Faculty
the faculty to student ratio is fine except some departments. the faculty is approachable in campus time. there is no special faculties i liked all faculty that i had were okay. but there a lot of faculties that i also didnt like and the reason i choose not to disclose. the course structure is fine but not industry oriented though. there are 3 types of exam in a semester, two mid semster and one end semster. the difficuilty level is medium and not that difficuilt.
Night Life
cafeterias and libraries are typically open till 9 pm on regular days and you can hangout in college campus till 8.30 which pretty sufficient. hostel gates closes at 8.30 pm in summers and foer winters its 7 pm and for boys hostel the criteria is different. inside the university famous hangout spots are fountain park, south block and food republic.
