My College.

College is great in some ways and bad in terms of architecture, course and faculty behaviour. But less attendance is boon if you're serious and work on your own towards your goal. It supports you and nourishes you if you work hard on your own.

It is not of the best quality or atleast as I expect. It does not train you for the market needs but teaches age old technology, now obsolete. Microprocessors were made in early 1950s and still they teach the same thing after almost 50 years. Exam structure is considerable and has credits system to ease transfers and course changes.

College ensures 90% placement. The alumnus of ldce is great indeed and spread worldwide. That helps in the placement. College does not provide any sort or types of internship opportunities but we can find them on our own for sure.

The college architecture is pretty old. I personally cannot find it acceptable. But others do and they do enjoy it. College has one canteen and other nescafe stall in the campus. There's a new food stall too. There are fests, college wide in the campus during winters.

It is feasible being only 1500 rupees plus some taxes, making it 2500, and free for girls. Totally. It does not provide gym but still charges 800 rupees for it. Apart from this, exam fees are to be paid for each semester according to subjects.

Gtu offers some but I've never availed any personally. As the fees are very low, there is no need anyway.

There is a huge cricket ground and a lawn. We play games and organise all types of social events there. There is a yearly sports event, college wide which is to be participated and certificates and medals and rewards are given. Other departments have full fledged lab and the best equipments.

Alumni of ld is very strong. Seniors are also skilled in their own field. Some have been to national parade to represent all the colleges too. So there are highly skilled seniors. There is no bullying and that makes the seniors very approachable.

We have a unified system known as acpc which governs all approved colleges in Gujarat. Acc to you merit list, it ranks you and gives the first priority to higher ranks in case of seat contention. This goes on till any college of your required list is allocated.

Faculty is not highly skilled. Some can hardly be called to be computer faculties. Teachers don't coordinate and some even have grudges against others. Sometimes we're not taught anything and are allowed to leave with attendance filled. This is good, great indeed, in the short run but in the long run, it really is bad. It hurts your career and studies.
