Course Curriculum Overview

5

In my branch the courses are not up to the mark in terms industry standards. DTU has stopped the industrial visits which hampers industry level knowledge in the students. Teachers should give relatble examaples to explain there topic in easy manner. The industrial visits should start one more time so that students can gain amore knowledge about what is going on in the industry.

Internships Opportunities

5

Many comapnies come to DTU to give internship in every field like Tech,Non Tech,Core. Fore example Google, Microsoft, and Amazon, along with other companies like Adobe, TCS, and Deloitte,EPIC, Cisco, Microsoft, IOCL, BHEL, GAIL, NDPL, IAF, Indian Navy, Texas Instruments, Walmart Labs, Goldman Sachs, Samsung Research, Amazon, Adobe, Directi, C-Dot, Infibeam, Qualcomm, Futures First, HT Media, RBS, Maruti, Tata Motors, Mckinsey, Coca Cola, Idea, Bata, TCS, Oracle and many more.

Placement Experience

5

From 6th semester students are eligible for the placements. META,JP MORGAN,BAIN,MC.KINEY,GOOGLE,MICROSOFT,AMAZON and many companies visits DTU every year and In 2024 over 2053 offers were made by the comapnies. Highest package was 85 LPA and average was 15 LPA. There are many profiles pffered by the companies like Softwre engineer,Data Analyst,Consultants and many more. Around 70-80% students are places inside DTU. My plans after the degree is to join a company and do job and upskill myself.

Fees and Financial Aid

1st year - 2,36,700 2nd year -2,46,700 3rd year - 2,66,700 4th year - 2,86,700 Every type of fees(lab, development, admission is included) Many scholarships are also given to the students such as DELL ASPIRE,NSP.etc There is no fee waiver for SC/ST students.

Campus Life

5

The overall college experience is great because the campus is lush green and many birds , animals can be found here. ENGIFEST,VIHAAN,PARAKRAM,AAVAHAN,INVICTUS,YUVAAN these fests are held in the campus on annual basis. There are more than 1000 books present inside the library and it is accesbile to all students. There are many tech teams and socities run by students in every niche whether it is dance, music, coding, etc. There is a sports complex where basketball, football, cricket, atheletics can be played and in indoor games table tennis , badminton can be played .

Admission

I chose DTU over other colleges because it is a goverment college and it is tier 1 too. So I will get more and more opportunity which will helip in career. DTU is also very chill in academics we get a lot of free time to invest in our hobbies, side hustles and upskilling ourselves. The admission process is quite simple in B.tech student has to give JEE MAINS and take part in JAC DELHI counselling from where he/she can get admission in DTU .

Faculty

4

Faculty student ratio is 1:70. I loved Dr.Vivek Agarwal. He taught me AM - 102. He explains very well in a crystal clear manner. I don't like Dr. D Kumar because he don not give marks to the students in mid and end semester examinations. Exams are pretty much easy here most of the Questions are based on the past year question papers. In my branch around 10-20% students fails to clear the examination

Night Life

5

There is one open gym and one library library timings are 9 AM to 10 PM in working days and 9:30 to 10 on weekends. There is no in and out hostel timings. RAJ SOIN,DOSA PLAZA,AMUL LANE,OAT are the famous hangout places. The locality outside the DTU is not safe for girls and even for boys to roam around in the night but campus is totally safe.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
