Course Curriculum Overview

4

I always interested in computers and new technologies. I want to do something different than others. That's why I choose this course. The curriculum prepares me even more and for further academic puruits, it helps me a lot. I think the teaching method needs an improvement. Because whenever I gets confused in any topic and when I ask the question which I gets confused, sometimes my teacher taunting me in front of every student, which makes me ashamed sometimes. But I don't feel bad, it helps me to improve me more. The teaching method is good. The timing of exam is quite challenging. Because in my perspective, the timing is the main challenge. We only have 2.5 hours to complete the exam. We need to write so much for long answer type questions and it takes even more time. But still, it feels good.

Fees and Financial Aid

My fees is very reasonable only ?90000 per year and getting a computer science degree. My tution fees around 16000 per 6 months and regeneration fees is included in fees admission fees is also included in 1 year fees devlopment and maintenance fees is ?4500 lab and other compulsory charges are included in one year fees. My batchmates are also paying ?90000 per year and sc and st have a discount ?10,000 to ?15,000 for their category. Having some discount at rate. Our Scholarship which government given to us (OBC) is ?20,000 to ?25,000 only! In SC and ST cast categories, government give them even more scholarship than OBC and GENERAL cast!

Campus Life

5

To be honest, there is only 2 festivals that held in my college. Holi and Diwali. I hope now they prepare for any more festivals. The range and accessibility of books is crazy. I can find any books that I want in the library. The facilities and technological provisions in the classroom is good. There is no sport event that held in my college. And also there is no extracurricular activities that offered in campus. I hope on future they offered some sports events. Not at all. There is no student run social groups, clubs or student portal which give impact on student life.

Admission

I live in Prayagraj U.P. but I had to go to the Varanasi U.P. for choosing my college. Varanasi is like an other city and I live in another city. And when I choose any other college, the fees is quite high. Due to far distance and high fees I didn't join any other college. But this college fulfill my needs which I need and it fits under my budget. That's why I choose this college over the others. I get rejected from a college because they need much smarter students. They thinks that I'm not that smart and able to do anything. And I get rejected from second time because of the higher fees which I couldn't pay to them. That's the reason why I get rejected from other colleges two times. The admission process is not that tough. It's quite easy. We have 2-3 days of gap between every exam to prepare as much as we can. Overall, my admission experience is good.

Faculty

5

The faculty of student ratio is like not that much. It is like 1500 students including 350 girls and other 1,150 students are boys. The approachable faculties is decent. United group of management and technology is my favourite. Because the infrastructure, and the technologies which they provide to every students is good. The Allahabad (Prayagraj) University is not my favourite. Because there are so much violence and they include so much politics in anything which I don't like it at all. The exam is not that tough. But still, like 10% of students failed the exam because they didn't studied. For me, the exam is not that tough. It is quite easy. All we need to know that write as much as I can including the accurate answers.

Night Life

4

There is no gym and cafeteria. And in library, it is decent. There is no hostel. And the college timing is 11:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. The famous hangout place we stay in our college is field. We enjoyed too much in field. We didn't stay our college at night.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Greater Noida Institute of Technology (GNIOT) are decent but not exceptional. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester onwards. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys visit the campus, along with some startups, and offer roles mainly in IT support, development, and trainee positions. The highest package offered is around 8–10 LPA, while the average package ranges between 4–5 LPA, and the lowest is around 2–3 LPA. Approximately 60–70% of students get placed, while others either go for higher studies or off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the BCA program because of my interest in software development and web technologies. The curriculum’s focus on core subjects like Java, C++, and Database Management Systems (DBMS) was a major deciding factor, as these are the building blocks for a career in IT. ?The syllabus could be updated more frequently to include emerging technologies like Cloud Computing or AI/ML as core subjects rather than electives. Moving away from traditional rote learning toward more project-based learning would be beneficial. More frequent industry guest lectures would also bridge the gap between academia and corporate life The exam will be I would rate the difficulty as moderate. If you stay consistent with your lab work and internal assignments, the end-semester exams are quite manageable. The technical papers (like Mathematics or Architecture) tend to be the most challenging.

Placement Experience:

Around 70–80% of students from the course get placed through campus recruitment drives every year. The average package ranges between 3–5 LPA, while the highest package can go up to 8–10 LPA depending on skills and performance. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL, and other reputed firms. A good number of students also secure internships in companies related to their field, which helps in gaining practical exposure and industry experience. The common roles offered include software developer, data analyst, trainee engineer, and support roles, providing a solid start to students’ careers.

Placement in my college are very very average. I say below average because the placement average package of average 500 students was around 4 lakhs. And there are more than 10,000 students in my college. So the placement is very low. And the highest package for BCA, was around 10,00,000 and engineering around 20,00,000. An MBA was also around 13 to 14 lakhs. So the placement is very bad in my college.
