Course Curriculum Overview

4

I think the course is fairly relevant and the course curriculum is not hard for students if the faculties teach in ways that they generate curiosity and passion towards their subject by engaging students with new activities that are fun and enjoyable considering the Gen-Z style and these activities should be done twice every week atleast if not every day to encourage students to participate and learn more about the subjects without any external pressure of marks , attendance etc. The students are paying so much fees that they deserve to have an environment where they feel that the distractions are not worth, missing the learning experience together with other peers, which makes them feel more energised the more they learn and implement their learnings in creating something that they never believed they could build and achieve and not because of deadlines but because they are genuinely motivated to build and achieve things from learning and applying what they got from the course.

Internships Opportunities

3

The college does provide internships to every student from any year if they have skills but the internships are sometimes misaligned with the course the student is studying entirely, Like an AI/ML student would have an opportunity in an internship program of a sales associate or even a PPO but the student for obvious reasons will not take that internship, the university is asking students to find summer internships in the semester breaks and making them compulsory which is very stressful as they have assigned credits that will be included in the main degree, what if a student has difficulties in their skills development and they don't have any opportunities to get internships, what will they do? And the weekly progress report on a compulsory project for the AI/ML students is very hectic.

Placement Experience

3

I think every student is eligible for campus placements from second year or 3rd semester onwards , some good companies have visited the university but many didn't have any offer letters for anyone and they left without picking up anyone. But i have heard that some students did have 40LPAs here and there in my department which is SOET. I don't know the percentage of students getting placed but it is fairly low. I have plans on building something of my own , like a product based on AI and building a business around it. But for getting experience, I want to get a job in the AI field.

Fees and Financial Aid

It is currently 240000 annually and still rising every year by around 10 percent an year. It is very costly, the course quality to affordability ratio is very low. There are similar fee structures for BBA as well with around 155000 something annually and increasing every year by a fixed rate.

Campus Life

4

There are festivals and functions happening every month, they are good although i have not participated in most but i have heard that they are good experiences. The books are wide variety and accessible but sometimes the courses section have outdated content and sometimes they don't have relevant content section entirely. I want to have a book section for astronomy, self help, managing social interactions section etc. Sports and extracurricular facilities are great and high quality but they have little effort in getting students to participate in their sports activities as i want to participate in sports activities more but I rarely find any platform or event for participation. They are student led groups but under guided supervision, i have not participated in any clubs whatsoever.

Admission

I didn't go to a lot of colleges but I just didn't like the vibe sometimes and sometimes the fees was very high and sometimes I was rejected because I didn't have any great grades for entering a tier 1 college. The admission process in kr mangalam was very smooth, I did have a PI in the admission process and felt like this was a college, i can learn from and start fresh. The eligibility was 75 percent in 12th boards and they did accept CUET scores for admission and scholarships, the CUET was the preferred exam for students and I don't remember any cutoffs , overall I think K R Mangalam was very welcoming and my experience was good in the process.

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio is good currently but it's just that sometimes faculties do get overwhelmed by the amount of students creating nuisance at the same time and it is difficult to control them. Although every faculty has good experience in the industry and more experienced in their field overall,They sometimes lack the enthusiasm to inculcate curiosity and passion towards their subjects, which is easier said than done but for the amount of fees we are paying we should be getting the extremely well trained faculties that have done the best in their training by the NEP standards and have great communication skills, with skills to handle the students as well. I am currently in IV semester and i like Prem Kumar sir who teaches R language. He is very skilled and knowledgeable in his field as well as communication skills that needs to be there to make the environment better for learning and safe for everyone who has any sort of doubt in his class. He also gives real life examples that help us to orient ourselves to needs of the industry he has worked in and how are the people behaving in the real world. Some faculties don't have that which i have mentioned above. If they have these then the learning process can be much more easier and engaging for the students and they will outperform themselves in their skills. They are two exams per semester, mid-semester and end-semester (final exams) exams. The mid semesters are easy and the final end semester exams are not easy but very much enjoyable if you have focused on studying in the semester. Some students do fail sometimes but they have difficult circumstances that they are in or they outrightly don't have an interest and curiosity towards the curriculum which is fairly relevant, from 1 to 5 , I would rate the curriculum on relevancy 3.

Interview Experience

4

No there was no GD or examination to get into the university itself but they were criterias for selecting students for scholarships and other reservations etc. I didn't prepare for any rounds as I just had a fairly simple and friendly PI with the admissions office.

Night Life

4

After a whole day of class we usually walk around the campus, i am a day scholar so I don't have any info on the night life but i have heard it is very safe and fun to hangout with friends at night around the hostel. The gym i have heard is okeyish from the hostelers, the cafeterias are fairly good, the library is well maintained Campus in timings is 8:40ish and out is 4:15ish , The famous hangout places outside are Airia mall, om sweets , sohna market, iskcon , even the farms around the campus sometimes. They are fairly safe as well.

I am in the computer science and engineering branch. I want to be a software developer and I am passionate about coding and I love to code that's why I am chosen this branch. The faculty members of my college are awesome and helpful. They are well qualified and knowledgeable. They cooperate with students in every situation . they focus much on the weak student so they can also pass the exam. they use the blackboard and smart classes both to teach the student effectively. we have industrial exposure also. the well built spacious will have no importance if not for the wonderful faculty the college has. All are faculty members are highly knowledgeable and done their post graduation from one of the top colleges like IITS. and most of the teachers are GATE qualified and even it is not once. they are writing the exam regularly. so, if you prepare for the GATE exam, then you can get great help from them. they used to prepare us for the GATE exam, along with academics

I am a Delhite and my college is on outskirts of Delhi and also i being residing near du north campus used to think i will enjoy the same college life. but being into a professional (b.tech) course gave me a different view of college and its life. i came to know how to lead a professional ethic life, learnt some good meaningful things.college management is getting strict day by day for laws against students but the other tasks like things that need to be get done from peon are not getting done. ac's dont work even after complaints. in total the college needs a great improvement else it will keep running the business with no fruits.
