Course Curriculum Overview
I picked the course because of the good ranking of the college in terms of placements and the the curriculum. It is a good delhi college after dtu and I got a good branch of IT there. The curriculum has good subjects but mostly on theoretical knowledge but it is a good curriculum for covering the basics required but for the real world self study is also required. For masters it's a good curriculum as one can go into extreme details after learning all the basics. The course could get new subjects and technology to be used, as new branches were added with latest technologies I think it will improve soon The exams mainly are done twice in one year semester wise and we have internal and external exams with 30-70 ratio for theory 40-60 for practical. The difficulty is fine if you go over the pyqs
Placement Experience
The placements were started from 7th semester but there were companies who came before as well for internships and gave ppo like atlassian etc. Highest package was 13.05 from ZS and the average was around 3-4 lpa and different degrees. Some of the companies that came were zs Deloitte yamaha accenture wipro rinex jaro education etc. The percentage didn't really matter exactly but there were some criteria with 7 or 8 cgpa and no back was required by many companies. I got placed on campus and I am currently working in the same company. My package was 4 lpa in hand and 6 lpa including all benefits.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees for my course was around 1,33,000 per annum, we gave a security deposit and also there was a fees of 5000 for book band that was returned after graduation along with security deposit. There is no specific scholarships but maybe the do provide it for the reserved category
Campus Life
The infrastructure itself is not great but not bad.there are 8 buildings in total and an additional auditorium as well inside the campus only there is another building of maims. The main problems was the area around the campus. The clubs were good and there were many societies including literary society, dramatics society, for singing, dancing, entrepreneurship, robotics etc There were extensive auditions for the societies and the seniors in the club were super supportive.
Admission
I was selected to two other colleges as my admissions were at the time of Covid So I took admission in DU ipu college for women and vit vellore as well both in computer science but at last mait was the best college in terms of fees, placements and the ROI All the process was online and we just had to go once for the verification of the documents. The exam was the percentile of JEE mains I did apply for nits but got rejected or was getting biotech in NSIT which was not my goal
Faculty
The class was around 70 in the theory class and around 20-25 in the practical classes, the faculty is approachable and good with students. The best teacher in my section was Ms Bhumi gupta who was also my mentor.the faculty supported in the external exams as well, with good study material The exams are easy but they were mostly theory based and are not mainly based on skills but theoretical knowledge. I think around 10-15% failed but they can easily take the exam again the next year. The curriculum itself is not very updated
Night Life
There are not much things to do near the college, we do have a big library in campus, gym, badminton court, basketball court and a big ground but all of this is inside the campus. There are a few shops near the campus but you will have to travel for good hangout places It is not generally safe in the night. There are some mall like unity mall and nsp from metro you can go there but for the metro as well you will have to travel far The nearest metro is rithala red line and you can get rickshaw there with 20rs charges as
