Siliguri Institute of Technology is good

No negative remarks as such. And one thing, the place where the college is situated is SUKNA. The beauty is awesome out there and you can clearly see the "queen of hills"- THE DARJEELING when the weather is almost good. The college campus is too well maintained and the campus environment is very good.

The course curriculum is quite good. One who studies deeply what has been taught in the classes according to the MAKAUT syllabus ( the board which our college follows) can definitely get a good job in the company he/she desires to work for. Ofcourse hardwork, self study and much practice is needed too.

Siliguri Institute of Technology ( SIT) basically is a part of the Techno India Group. And believe me, the people under the this group are working very hard for the betterment of the campusing scenarios. If one studies thoroughly the things that are taught in classes, do online courses and work on their confidence, perosnality development and communication skills, they can easily get what they want !!!!!! Companies like INTEL, TCS, CTS, Nineleaps, etc. come to our college to hire the students. Internships like John Deere, and much more has also been provided to us few days back. I am now currently in 6th sem. The exams are over. The session for the 7th semester will begin at around 1st August, 2019

If it comes to listing the events, the list won't end. Starting from Women's Day, Independence Day , Robotics day to Tree plantation day celebration, the college gives its best to celebrate the important dates in the best possible way they can.

the fee structure I guess is feasible.The first sem fees was ?83000, the 2nd SEM was ?63000 , and from 3rd SEM onwards the fees were in the range of ?40000-?43000. The total 4 year fee structure is I guess 3.5-4.5lakh which I guess is pretty less as compared to those 16.5lakhs required in KIIT Bhubaneswar, Orissa etc.

The college , according to my notice, doesn't provide any such scholarship. You can apply for different competitive events and get scholarships. I also don't have any idea regarding the loan issues. I guess it's not provided as such.

They are very good. The lab teachers are very much helpful. Sports events are also organised in our college. during the tech fest, along with the technical events, sports events like Khokho, badminton, gully cricket, Futsal etc are also organised and the students actively participate in all these events.

I didn't opt for hostel, so I don't know about it that much. But as far as I know, my friends who lives in hostel says that it's not too bad in the sense the foods are edible. But I personally prefer not stay In hostel but stay in PG.

I will talk about the senior students. If you behave properly with them, they will treat you as a younger brother. They will guide you in the best possible ways they can. They will help you out in every issues be it studies, project or anything.

I got 92.5% in my ISC exam. and I also sat for the WBJEE exam.My rank in wbjee wasn't so good.I secured a rank of 51350 as i focused mainly on the ISC exams because I heard that the marks of 10 as well as 10+2 are very important for the interview purposes. Now as all know, an online college counseling occurs after wbjee exam.but I didn't go for that. instead the College took the responsibility and told us that if we are sure about my admission in this college, they will let us know if we are selected or not. They also took an amount of ?20,000 for seat booking. DON'T WORRY, it's totally fare because it's not an additional amount that I paid. The 20,000 was just for seat booking which was later cut off from the FIRST SEMESTER fees which was ?83,000 approx. So later when I started my classes, at that time, during the payment of the first sem fees, I had to pay (83,000-20000) i.e ?63000. There are also other ways of getting an admission, ofcourse the CASH METHOD, which happens in most of the colleges, in which one has to pay an amount of I guess 1 lakh for getting an admission to the college if his/her marks is not so good.Since my marks were good, I didn't face such issues.

The faculties are quite good except 1 or 2 and I guess that's totally fine because you can't ever expect all the faculties upto your expectations. Thats totally cool! The teachers are quite good with lots of experiences. The lab teachers are also highly experienced in their respective fields.
