Entrance Preview

I had not given any entrance exam. I choose BAF course as it brings a lot many information in my boring life. It gave me information about the banking and finance. Banking and finance sector is one of the best sector where there is lot of scope. It has the biggest campus for any college in Mumbai and the auro bindo college which was lately build up gives a nice attraction to the students.

Somaiya being the degree college offers a lot many courses for students. It is autonomous college now and this itself is an achievement. The college has many courses as it has seven colleges with a big campus. It has a very eco-friendly environment. The courses include Bscit,Bse,BE,BAF,engineering college MBA etc.

Final year students are given opportunities for the internship where they can build confidence and their technical skills. The college management brings the best IT companies like Accenture,Infosys,TechM,Directi,Zarca Interactive,Syntel, etc. The college has a reputed goodwill in the students mind as its very near to vidyavihar station and also because of the education it provides with.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees of the college is not much expensive as compared to other colleges ie unaided. Being an aided college it charges fees according to the norms. It is affiliated by the Mumbai university ie SK somaiya now the entire somaiya is autonomous which is among few autonomous colleges in Mumbai.

When it comes to college one can only think of is friends campus and canteen apart from lectures, gymkhana and all. Well there are many colleges under Mumbai University but when I got admission in Somaiya I was having goosebumps as I was so excited to be a part of this institute. The last year brings a lot of responsibilities such as there are many events including swach bharat abhiyan drive where students be responsible for the cleaning drive to keep their vicinity clean.

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
