Course Curriculum Overview

4

I'll rate it as excellent. As i selected Computer Science and engineering course here because i was always interested in coding and mathematics and we have computer programming course and maths in every semester almost . Curriculum prepares me for real world applications as we learn coding and have practicals in labs where we learn real world problems for example in same one we made calculator using python which is very useful in real world and for me chemistry should be removed from the course of CSE students because it's uneccesary and i think professors should be more focusing on practical areas of that subject rather than reading slides of ppt in class.Exams are midesems once in a sem for duration 1.5 hours per sub exam and end semester exams once at the end of sem for duration 3 hours per sub exams and at last assignments internal generally every month once and lab every week.

Internships Opportunities

4

Top companies like microsoft, google ,adoble ,oracle , zomato etc. Also alumini and network based opportunities, Research internships and hackathons. Core tech companies like Google gives 80k to 100k Rs per month intership may include PPO offers . For example projects like campus buddy app ( navigation and announcements for NSUT) outcomes featured at innovision tech fest and app used internally by 1000+ students.

Placement Experience

4

At NSUT students are typically become eligible for placements in campus in their 7th semester (4th year). The 2024 placement drive drew more than 320 companies,as well as 80 firms that conducted their first ever recruitment from this campus. The hiring success of 2024 placed students in various positions within prominent organization including google, microsoft, amazon and adobe.students received offers with packages reaching Rs 1crore annually and the overall average solicitations amounted to Rs 17.7 lakh In btech placement percentage was 85% and in mtech it was 69% .My plans after getting degree is to work in a company I'm placed while campus placement if I won't be able to clear campus interview I'll go off campus placement or I'll do my own startup.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Btech fee at NSUT experienced significant price growth throughout the years.students enrolled in academic year 2024-25 will have to pay Rs 2.4 lakhs for the tuition fees, examination expenses and institutional fees cost.tuition fees increase yearly throughout the program for second year students have to give Rs 2.5 lakhs ,for third year students have to give Rs2.7 lakhs and Rs 2.9 lakhs for last year of the program. The complete four year tuition expenses amount to approximately Rs10.5 lakhs. The high educational costs at NSUT are justified by strong academic programs combined with advanced facilities and promissing students placement success.

Campus Life

5

There are many fests here like resonanz and moksha which are annual fest of college. resonanz generally happenes in October like in 2024 it was on 17th and 18th October.it is intra college fest and then comes moksha fest which is biggest cultural fest in NSUT which happens in April usually in 2025 it was on 19-21 April. In libarary there are all books related to our course which helps us to study.technological provisions are smart classrooms projectors and smart boards ,audio systems and wifi access. And yes there are many societies in our college which helps us to learn new skills like robotics society ARES , coding society TDS and international society IEEE etc.For sports there are many options mainly in athletics like running etc and sports like cricket, football and many more . students feels good after relaxing mind by playing sports after studying all days which helps them reduce stress and anxiety.

Admission

I applied for JAC delhi counselling in DTU and NSUT only in different courses and i choose this college over DTU because of good packages and excellence acadmics and focused seniors and friends.i gave JEE advanced also and i qualified in that and got rank but i didn't got any college in JOSSA counselling.I think i should have studied more to get more rank in jee advanced but i think all happens for a reason and I have learned my lesson and I'll keep working hard now . Admission process for this college 1) you have to give 10+2 boards and should have 75% in boards for general and 60% for SC/ST in 12th board.2) you have to give jee mains and have valid jee score and should have good rank .3) participation in JAC Delhi for seat allocation. 4) completing documents verification and pay addmission fee to confirm the seat .cutoff may vary for delhi region and outside delhi region nearly around 10k rank for delhi region and 8k for outside delhi region.

Faculty

3

Faculty to students ratio at NSUT in main campus and east campus s 1:50 and in west campus it's 1:10.As I'm in main campus so I can say that here professers are good and helpful and also approachable but it's really depends on professor to professors. I can't take the name of a individual professor but in my opinion maths faculty is best and There is a Sir who teaches ECE in semester first .i think they are best faculty.I didn't like the faculty Rajiv sir who teaches DSA at NSUT because of strict behaviour and checking in exams and also phd chemistry professors are also not good and approachable. There are midsem first of all and then CTs (class Test) and then viva practical exams at last end sem exam.Midsem exams (20 marks) CTs generally for subjects which don't have any practical so both are for 30 marks and end sem for 50 marks so it's like 20+30+50(100). Exams are easy if we have studied enough mostly maths exams are easiest and ECE subject related exams are hard.Course is very relevant always like in first sem we got mathematics, ECE , electrical engineering, Computer programming and Quantum mechanics and second sem we got mathematics, DLD, discrete, DSA , english and chemistry. All this subjects are related to our course except chemistry.

Night Life

5

We go to gym in evening for workout with friends and there are many cafeterias near our college we can go there for parties at late night.gyms are open from morning 10:00 am till evening approx 6:00pm it may very according to week days and students canteen is also open till late evening and mother diary in our college.hostel common rooms and lounges where students gathers in hostel common areas to relax, watch movies and play games and popular spots for evening socializing. Also late night study session and many other things.

Other Applied Colleges

Delhi Technological University - [DTU] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Engineering)

I preferred NSUT CSE college above DTU CSE in JAC delhi counselling that's why I got admission here rather than in DTU.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

So placement cell is not present in college because of low intake of students but the students are very skilled to crack Gsoc , and other internship opportunities which lands them into big company. Also very good alumni network is present in college which boosts the placement of college.

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
