Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum was the key factor to choose sst over other college. our course updates every term (4 term in each year). Even we don't know what we learn in the next term because they change the curriculum according to what Is necessary in present or future. For an example, our senior while getting placed by company where asked if they know golang or not. So after seeing this out curriculum changed a bit and go-lang programing was added in our curriculum. That's the benefit of our curriculum

Internships Opportunities

5

when I was searching for SST , I found out that it promises us that they will provide industry immersion to students by third year. It's a great factor because no other college is able to provide such a thing even at the end of 4th year. I felt this promise was a lie at first but when I came here , I saw the truth. Yes, they are providing internships to our seniors who are in 2nd year now . Most of our seniors are interning around big tech companies and earning too. Not just that, my few peers with whom I study, are also getting freelance offers and paid internships. I have even tried to get into an internship but it didn't work for me now , but I am pretty confident that by next year I will also get a good internship. Not just internships, our college also helps us in entrepreneurship . Many students here got an idea to pitch and our college provides them every source of help so that they can start their business. We even have an innovation lab where students who are passionate about tech and who are into robotics or ai ml can fulfill there roles over here

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college total fees is around 21 lakhs . Where each year fees is around 5 lakhs. The fees breakdown for each year: Tution fees - 2.5lakhs Hostel + mess fees - 1.5 lakhs Bits online degree fees - 1 lakh We also have to pay an admission fees of 50000 at start. Our college also provide scholarship to the brightest mind and have special scholarship for women to encourage them to study in sst. Above that sst have tie-up with many banks which provide us education loan

Campus Life

4

Now let's talk about my life other than academics. Each one of us lives in our hostel where we get every facility which an individual should get. We get a reading room to study, we get a few indoor games to play and hangout places to chill. The hostel life is awesome. Other than that, sst provides many clubs where we showcase our talent or learn new things of our desire. We have clubs like cultural , robotics, ai ml , drone , creator, media , orator, etc The only thing we lack is sports . We do have competition in many sports like badminton, cricket , football , and basketball but we don't have a proper area to play regularly . Like we were told that we will have access to a swimming pool and badminton court but we don't have both. I think they are still working on it and will add everything in future but still as they promised us that we do have good sports facilities but they don't so thought to address it

Admission

After my jee attempt I scored 96%ile which was not that good enough to get into good nit with cs. I had no choice other than going to a govt college in my state (OUTR). I was just surfing through the internet and got to know about new-gen. It was kinda interesting for me how they are just focusing on core concepts of CS rather than continuing the same old curriculum. Out of every new-gen college , scaler school of technology was the one which I felt promising. Their curriculum, happening and all felt like "this the college made for me". I had doubts regarding this college as it's new but I talked to our seniors through social media

Faculty

5

The faculty here are excellent ????. They provide the most from every topic. Every day we learn something new. We have exams every month. But not pen and paper but we are given code to type and compile, project to submit on which we given marks. And it's not like that traditional college where we study the night before exam and get good grades, here we have to study everyday to excel.

Night Life

4

We got cafeteria in our college basement which looks so aesthetic and a good place to chill and hangout. We also get few indoor games to play. We got cult gym pass so that we can access gym anytime. Our hostel in timings 4am to 10 30 pm. No one is allowed to go out after after 10 30pm or before 4 am. But even inside our hostel we enjoy our night life. We got common area on the 5th floor. And we spent most of our night hanging out with our friends there. Other than that we are surrounded by many food chain in around our hostel to eat and chill

From final year the students can apply for the placements. At least 60% should be there to be eligible for the placement. Many companies provides placements in this college like infosys, Accenture, Mahindra and many more. The average package as per the company is 200000 per annum and the highest package is 700000 per annum. My plans after getting the degree is to go to abroad for my post graduate.

Placement Experience:

Usually there are placements in our college. If any student does not get a placement the faculty guide us what we can do next like the companies in which we can apply and how we can go further. In my course after finishing the bachelors degree you can further study masters it is available in our college itself or yoj can aplly for companies but if you do your masters you have a better opportunity and high posts for you better career. The course is of 8 semester you become eligible for campus placements in 7th semester. The last year that is seventh and eighth semester is basically practical and lot of projects provided. There various companies are seniors have applied and offered for example the genetic company in Bangalore that is Med gen. The highest package offered is 50000 and the average starts from 25000 placements in college. There is 75 percentage of students getting placements from our college. My plans after getting the degree is to go for further studies and do the masters after that i would like to do job along with my phd, this is my plan after getting my bachelors degree.

Most of the students after completing four years, continue to stay here to get Masters degree after one more year and pursue PhD from world renowned institutions. Very few people (<7/100) per batch will sit for campus placements and most of them will be selected with a good annual package of 30000 at an average. Some students, mostly Physocs majors can give government exams like ICRB, GATE to join ISRO and BARC as scientists

Qualification is good and the teaching method like some lectures is good. Term exams will be after 6 months from starting of sem and it's not as difficult as pu or 10th exams we can easily pass them.
