IMT Ghaziabad overall review

I have mostly positive remarks about my College. It's a heaven for the youth who wants to grow and enjoy at the same time. Life at IMT is full of parties, healthy competition, making presentation, interacting with hundreds of people living in the same campus. The journey at IMT can transform anyone's personality to a outgoing and happy person.

The course curriculum is well designed. There is more pressure in the first year. In 2nd year, we have more free time so that we can devote our time in participating in case study competitions. IMT gets to take part in almost all the prestigious case study competitions including Mahindra War Room, Hul Lime and others. There are 8 end semester exams. Generally, the end semester exams account for only 40% of the total marks. Other factors such as class participation, quizzes individual and class presentations have weightages dividend according to the faculty.

IMT Ghaziabad has lots of job opportunities with packages going as high as 27+ lacs P.A. There is a large batch size which makes the placement season extremely competitive. Yes, the college provides internship opportunity for all the first year student. Internship is a mandatory part of our curriculum. I had a great internship experience. I interned in the rising start-up called Milkbasket. Milkbasket already has connections with PAYTM. My stipend was( ?20k + reimbursement) per month

There are more than 50 events all around the year at IMT. Be it a cultural event, a sports event, a single company sponsored event, Ted talks, marketing events, finance events, events concerning social work and others. Some of the prominent events are GSK run, Passion, Chakravyuh, Joy of Giving, Mark Roadies and others

Fee is on an expensive side. For me, it was 17.5 lacs including hostel and food for 2 years. For students opting for DCP program (Dubai), the fee is about 23 lacs for 2 years. But taking into consideration the average placements at IMT, the fee can be justified.

IMT being a 40 year old prestigious brand has been recognised by the government as one of the premier institutes in India. Any student can get full loan without paying any collateral to the bank from most of the government banks. Also, the rate of interest is around 8-9% which is way lower than 12-13% which is charged for other education loans

There are lots of extracurricular activities which students can engage in. There is a common ground for cricket and Football, both in main campus and in CDL, there is gym, volleyball court, basketball court, badminton court, tennis court. There are 2 labs with 70+ systems in each lab. There are other smaller labs also. The lab infrastructure is impressive. The gym is not well maintained

IMT has 2 hostels. One hostel for first year boys(CDL) has around 180 rooms and hosts 350 first year boys. The main campus has many blocks including one high rise (8 floors) building. The room service is nice. All rooms have AC. Geyser is available.washrooms are common. both single occupancy and double occupancy rooms are there.

IMT has a strong alumni network comprising of new joinees to Industry expert who are currently serving as CXOs in different companies. There is a dedicated committee for alumni interaction as well as an Aluminium association which keeps posting about different job opportunities. The seniors are helpful and are often invited to campus for a visit or inaugural activities.

First of all, I had to take cat 2017. I secured 97.4 percentile and applied in many colleges IMT being one of them. I was called for the Group Exercise and PI process. The Group Exercise was focused mainly on team building skills and working under limited time. After that, a personal interview of 10-15 min was taken. The results were announced 1.5 months later and I got in

IMT has some of the best faculties who have lots of industry experience and domain knowledge. There are many faculties who have already taught in many IIMs. Apart from that, there are many guest faculties who make us more clear about what is going on in the industry. Personally, I like every 3 of 4 faculties here at IMT
