I give my positive remarks to everyone as I am a very positive person myself, you see. I am trying to stay positive and have a positive opinion on everything. Besides that I would reccomend this college to everyone those who are pursuing a professional course side by side
Course Curriculum Overview
B.com (hons.) is a well known and recognised course for any commerce student. The course might seem tough to some of the students but its not. Its rather easy if your basics from 11th and 12th grade are strong. The exam structure was a bit complicated. Since it was annual examination system and not semester system, we had to give 7-10 exams in a month on an average which was a bit hectic
Placement Experience
There is no placement opportunity in this college. Neither do they provide internship opportunities. All you had to do was yourself Since it is open learning, there wasnt an actual college to go to hence they never arranged for job opportunities
College Events
There were few events celebrated in this college. Sports day, annual meet etc. I never got to attend any of it since students were not invited I guess. There were several festivals celebrated as well.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure, in my opinion, is quite feasible as compred to rest of the colleges. Since it was DU, a government university, the fees had to be low. I paid not more than Rs. 12,000 for the 3 years combined
Fees and Financial Aid
The college doesnt provide any scholorship or loan facility like most of the other colleges. Moreover it isint necessary to take the loan for the college as it is one of the cheapest colleges of this university.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities were held by the college oftenly. Mostly every two months. They have no labs for the practical subjects as we had no regular classes. But rest of the college is good, I tell you.
Hostel Facilities
The university doesnt have an hostel facility available for the students. Its kinda sad to think but ueah its the truth. I dont know what else to say pr speak or write. I am just trying to complete 200 characters, which i just did.
Alumni/Alumna
We never get to interact with the seniors except the one time when i had my computers exam. My senior helped me alot in that and maybe otherwise I would have not been able to clear that exam.
Admission
I got to the college through merit list. I scored 93% in 12th and I was able to get into the college easily. Procedure was simple, Just needed to fill up few forms. I went to the official website of SOL, DU. All the admission procedure took place there. I logged into my account and filled up few forms and I was registered as a student of SOL. The fee payment procedure was simple and it was all done online as well
Faculty
Faculty was good. Never really approached anyone personally but they seemed alright. I thing inducing new blood in the college faculty would be nice since most of the faculty members seemed above 45 years old and were reluctant to do the needed work
