Remarks
Positive: Good ambience, good infrastructure, nice crowd, some very good faculties, digital teaching, centralised ac Negative: Over burden, some subjects feel irrelevant, some faculty are not at all helpful.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is quite extensive, you get to study at least 7-8 subjects each semester. You get lots of assignments, projects, case study (this depends on your class mood towards completion of case study). There are presentations held in the subjects required. You’ll have to give 2 Mid sem exam totalling to 15 marks, 2 assignments of 10 marks each and 5 marks for classroom behaviour, totalling to 40 marks internal and rest 60 is end term exam.
Placement Experience
First internship: As i am doing MBA and wish to do it in Finance field, i found most sales internship demanding selling policies, opening demat accounts, etc. Don’t expect a internship opportunity that would you most likely wish to do as they don’t provide you with those, and one more thing Same internship role and duties being offered to you are offered to Bcom and BBA students as well, so yeah you can make the idea of the level of expertise needed. Stipend entirely depends on the company, this year highest stipend went to Rs.13000 p/m and on average you get an stipend of Rs. 6000 p/m. Placements i haven’t yet experienced myself but acknowledging the fact that the university has been just 5 years old, company do come to offer jobs, and also come are amongst the big reputed company but packages been offered are not super high and expect an annual package of around ?300000 to ?500000 based on your ability.
College Events
Goenka is full of events, as it has to offer many courses such as engineering, management, law, fashion, architecture, etc. the events are always on the go. Apart from this workshop are organised. Udyami Bazzar is organized every year in which student showcase there entrepreneurial talents by placing there stalls. Also Annual fest happens here with average known stars performing.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Some course fee is totally worth it like offering Mba in ?650000 for two years is super good offer, and some course fees really needs to be revised like BBA at ?750000 for 3 years not worth it. Rest they take 25000 as admissions fees and 25000 as security deposit which is refundable.
Fees and Financial Aid
100% scholarship for first year if you have scored above 93% in 10+2 and above 80% in graduation. 50% scholarship for first year if you have scored between 88-93% in 10+2 and scored above 75% in graduation.
Campus Life
Quite good they are for example for design and architect students they get mac in the lab which is a wow. And fir sports you can play cricket, football, basketball, table tennis, volleyball, badminton and many more. Labs are well organised.
Alumni/Alumna
Totally depends on what kinda person you are to with whom you are dealing with, most alumni are there to help but some are a headache. Seniors if you interact may help you, personally haven’t had an interaction with seniors here.
Admission
I filled in an online application form, went to give entrance test which encompasses of General Knowledge, English communication, Maths, logical reasoning, its a hour test and i cleared the test. Next on the same day i had interview with faculty and then got selected to pursue the course.
Faculty
Some are real gem of a teacher and some doesn’t feel apt to what they should be offering. Clearly luck plays a part if good faculty are assigned to you. By good faculty i mean the knowledge, teaching style, interaction with students are limited to some faculty only in this college, not all faculty here you would find to be a one teaching according to the requirement of the subject
