Well it provided me balance between doing my chartered accountancy and its good for those who either works or opted some other courses with graduation. The good things are that it provide s freedom to student to easily choose
Course Curriculum Overview
As IGNOU IS distance mode so it gives a student it's freedom to choose subjects from the course and it's ease ,different subjects have different credits so one need to complete those credit to pass. And there exam structure are nice as it's done yearly wise.
Placement Experience
placements are given here but there isn't any big companies coming it's all BPO only where mostly students are recruited. Placements are not quite good here as mostly job oriented people or students who persue some other courses with graduation takes admission here.
College Events
Basically ignou is an open university thus mainly the events are organised in its main branch that is in new delhi. Mainly big event that is done is convocation ceremony of students who have passed the graduation.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure are feasible it's 2000 pee year + the exams fees 120@ per subject. It's very feasible as it's set up by the government so poor class people can afford it. No extra charges are availed expect this.
Campus Life
Since it's distance mode there is no such event happening around as per my knowledge maybe it happens in the main branch of ignou that is in new delhi. But the regional centera of ignou do not offer such.
Hostel Facilities
Not opted for hostel facility, Since ignou is an distance based course so there is no hostal faculty provide to students. One has to manage there own. So there is no hostel facility in ignou. Since it's distance mode.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes alumnus of ignou are helpful. I have came in contact with many alumnus of ignou who is working in good reputed companies. I have shared there experience and I they help me to shape my career in right path.
Admission
It's simple if you have passed 12th then u have to fill forms online which are available every year. One need to visit the ignou website that is www.ignou.in and one can see the details of various courses . One need to fill the forms choose ur subjects and pay the required fee that is 2000 for general category students. Once it done you will be provided with admit cards and books by post but nowadays u have to collect from IGNOU REGIONAL CENTERS.
Faculty
As ignou is open based and me doing chartered accountancy so it gives me freedom not to attend regular classes as done in normal colleges So that i can easily manage my graduation as well as ca faculty is better
